Britain's Princess Eugenie has married Jack Brooksbank in Windsor's second royal wedding of the year. The ceremony took place in St. George's Chapel, which also hosted the wedding of Harry and Meghan Markle, now the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, in May.Pixie Geldof, British model, singer and third daughter of Irish singer-songwriter Bob Geldof and the late television presenter Paula Yates, was among the early arrivals at the chapel on a windy but sunny fall morning.A wide variety of colors were on display, from autumnal maroons to pastel shades. Several women struggled to hold on to their hats as a strong wind whipped across the grounds of Windsor Castle.Model and actress Cara Delevingne arrived at the castle in a suit and top hat, while actress Demi Moore selected a dark red dress by Stella McCartney. Moore was accompanied by American florist and perfumer Eric Buterbaugh, with whom she has been friends for many years.American actress Liv Tyler, who arrived with Dave Gardner, chose a midnight tailored suit with midnight velvet pumps and a black velvet box clutch by Stella McCartney, a headdress by Stephen Jones and jewelry by Van Cleef & Arpels.Naomi Campbell was seen wearing a metallic black ombré cocktail dress and cropped cape, featuring hand-woven silk tulle tweed by Ralph & Russo.Robbie Williams, British singer and former member of pop group Take That, was spotted arriving at Windsor with his wife and fellow X-Factor judge Ayda Field. They have been friends of Eugenie and her sister Beatrice for years and their daughter Theodora is a bridesmaid at the ceremony.British artist Tracy Emin, comedian and writer Stephen Fry, and singer Ellie Goulding also took their places in the chapel in the run-up to the ceremony, as did many members of the royal family, including the Duke and Duchess of Sussex and Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. The former Kate Middleton, now the Duchess of Cambridge, wore a long-sleeved red gown by Alexander McQueen.Brooksbank works as a brand ambassador for Casamigos tequila, which was co-founded by actor George Clooney, property developer Mike Meldman and Rande Gerber, the entrepreneur husband of supermodel Cindy Crawford.Eugenie, 28, is the younger daughter of Prince Andrew, Queen Elizabeth II's third child, and Sarah, Duchess of York. She is ninth in line to the throne and works as the director of the Hauser & Wirth art gallery in London. While she has not attracted anything like the global attention bestowed upon her cousin Harry and his American bride, Eugenie's wedding is not a small, or cheap, affair.More than 800 guests gathered in the Gothic chapel for the ceremony at 11 a.m. (6 a.m. ET), 200 more than were invited to watch the Duke and Duchess marry. The Queen, Prince Philip and most of the royals were in attendance, with Eugenie's sister Beatrice taking on the role of maid of honor. Thomas Brooksbank, the groom's younger brother, was the best man.The one notable absence was the Duchess of Cornwall, the wife of Prince Charles, who is attending a longstanding engagement at a Scottish school.Prince George and Princess Charlotte -- the two oldest children of William and Catherine, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge -- both have official roles at the wedding. George, 5, who is third in line to the throne, is a page boy and his 3-year-old sister is one of six bridesmaids. The Princess first met her fiancé on a ski trip near Verbier in the Swiss Alps. Brooksbank proposed during a vacation in Nicaragua last winter. The wedding service featured a personal prayer by Archbishop of York John Sentamu, while David Conner, the Dean of Windsor, gave the address and is officiating.Opera singer Andrea Bocelli and members of the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra performed at the wedding, and a fanfare was played by trumpeters from the band of the Household Cavalry. As the couple depart the chapel, the steps will be lined with members of the Grenadier Guards. Prince Andrew, is a colonel with the guards. The newlyweds will leave in a carriage procession through Windsor, though the route will be far shorter than the one taken by the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. The cost of security will be borne by the taxpayer, which has raised concerns among republicans who note that the Princess does not carry out official royal duties on behalf of the Queen. The Queen will host an afternoon reception in St. George's Hall, with more celebrations planned for the evening at Royal Lodge, the York family home in Windsor Great Park.The-CNN-Wire 4521

BOULDER COUNTY, Colo. — A large area of Boulder County, including the towns of Jamestown and Ward, are under a mandatory evacuation order after two new wildfires sparked over the weekend. The 8,788-acre Calwood Fire started Saturday and is burning near the Cal-Wood Education Center in the Jamestown area. Officials Sunday night confirmed that 26 homes were lost to the fire, so far, mostly on the eastern side of the fire along Mountain Ridge Drive and Foothills Ranch Drive. No injuries were reported. The Calwood Fire was about 15% contained as of Sunday night. The most concerning area of the fire was the northern ridge of the fire area, due to the steep, rocky terrain and dry fuels, officials said.On Sunday, a new wildfire, dubbed the Lefthand Canyon Fire, started in the 14000 block of Lefthand Canyon Drive near the town of Ward. It has charred 312 acres as of Sunday night. Crews were still battling the fire Sunday but had contained the blaze north of Lefthand Canyon Drive.Smoke from both fires can be seen throughout most of Boulder and the surrounding area. The Boulder County fires prompted authorities to send out pre-evacuation notices to thousands of residents nearby, including people in the town of Lyons. In the Calwood Fire, there are 1,600 homes and 2,600 structures total in the evacuation area, and around 3,000 people impacted.Several roads are closed, including County Road 87, and officials evacuated Hall Ranch and Heil Valley trails. The map below shows the areas under an evacuation or pre-evacuation order:There is an evacuation check-in point for the Calwood Fire set up at 3460 N. Broadway where evacuees and pets can go to check-in and receive further information. The evacuation point for the Lefthand Canyon Fire is the Nederland Community Center, 750 Peak to Peak Hwy.Boulder County Sheriff Division Chief Mark Wagner said the number of homes lost or damaged in the fire is likely "very large."Wagner said a massive air attack Saturday helped contain the Calwood Fire. However, unfavorable weather conditions Sunday grounded aircraft. At least 250 firefighters are on the ground fighting the blaze. The Calwood Fire has become Boulder County's largest wildfire on record.County and Forest Service investigators are investigating the cause of the Calwood Fire. Wagner said there was no lightning strike data in the area which could rule out a natural cause for the fire. This story was originally published by Robert Garrison on KMGH in Denver. 2483

BARONA, Calif. (KGTV) -- As the nation observes Native American Heritage Month, the tragic and triumphant story of Matt LaChappa, the longest-tenured San Diego Padres player, demonstrates there are different types of tribes. With a 95 mile-per-hour fastball and a 6'3" frame, LaChappa was precisely the kind of prospect the San Diego Padres were looking for.The team drafted him out of high school in 1993, and they found him in an unlikely place: the Barona Reservation."Matt was like any other kid on an Indian Reservation, a lot of poverty," said his father Clifford LaChappa. The elder LaChappa admits he never expected to see his son go from the ball fields at Barona to the second round of the MLB draft, then to a promotion on the Padres Class A Advanced farm team, which at that time was the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes."He was pegged to make it, but God had other plans for him," Clifford LaChappa said.RELATED: Celebrating Community: Kumeyaay People of San DiegoWhile Matt was warming up in the bullpen during a game on April 6, 1996, he suffered a heart attack. He spent months in a coma.Today, he's 44 years old and living with a brain injury. He can speak a few words, like "hi Dad," with difficulty."He can't get up, he can't walk," Clifford LaChappa said. "He can't shave or shower."That's where his first tribe comes in. Family members and caregivers provide Matt with round-the-clock care. But behind the scenes, there's a second team in Matt's corner. RELATED: Native American tribes join to celebrate life and heritage at San Diego powwowEvery year since he collapsed, the Padres have signed Matt to a rookie contract so that, in part, he has ongoing access to medical care."They're totally our family," Clifford said. "They're always there for Matt."Matt LaChappa now has a little league field named in his honor in Lakeside, and he gives right back to the community that supports him. With help from the Barona tribe, Matt and his family host an annual charity golf tournament. The proceeds fund five academic scholarships a year for Native American students in San Diego County."Why was it important to do something like that?" I asked Clifford."Because of Matt," he responded. A few feet away, Matt howled.RELATED: Powwow showcases Native American traditions"He's crying," Clifford explained. "Because Matt was a giver."On the 25th anniversary of the day that changed Matt LaChappa's life, the Quakes invited Matt and his family to throw out the first pitch."When we got there, when we saw everybody clap, it was like a comfort. They really cared," Clifford said. It was a sign of yet another tribe in Matt LaChappa's corner. 2649

Brett Favre thinks Colin Kaepernick will be stamped with "hero status," and believes the former San Francisco 49ers quarterback should get another chance to play in the NFL.The Packers legend made the comments in an interview with TMZ Sports on Sunday.Favre also compared Kaepernick to Pat Tillman, the former Arizona Cardinals safety who left his football career to serve in the United States Army and was killed in Afghanistan in 2004 as a result of friendly fire."It's not easy for a guy his age - Black, white, Hispanic, whatever - to stop something that you've always dreamed of doing and put it on hold maybe forever for something that you believe in," Favre said in the interview."I can only think of, off the top of my head, Pat Tillman's the only other guy that did something similar," Favre said. "And we regard him as a hero. I assume that hero status will be stamped with Kaepernick as well."Favre also said he believes Kaepernick could still play in the NFL."I think from a football sense, I can't imagine him being that far out of shape or that far out of touch with football that he doesn't deserve a shot," Favre said."I thought he was a dynamic player," he continued. "And he's still young and hasn't been hit in several years so there's no reason to think that he's lost that much of a step."Kaepernick has not played since the 2016 season when he began kneeling during the pregame national anthem as a way to protest police brutality and racial injustice. He opted out of his contract in March of 2017 and has not received much interest from NFL teams. The 32-year-old Wisconsin native has been in the news again lately after recent protests have brought further awareness to the issues he was protesting. NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell said earlier this month he would encourage an NFL team to sign Kaepernick.WGBA's Brandon Kinnard first reported this story. 1886
