Lillian’s death certificate shows she died on Jan. 12, 2018 at the age of 73."So I was surprised and immediately thought about how this was potentially something that was a fraud," Tilden said. "I just thought this is crazy. I can't believe I am getting a check for this particular situation when she's been dead and gone for two years."Tilden is not alone."I posted it to Facebook and actually had several people tell me that they knew others who had been in the same situations,” Tilden said. “So I'm thinking this is a problem, not a one-off situation."Anyone who gets a check for someone who died should return the check to the IRS, and write “void” in the endorsement section on the back of the check.“Payment made to someone who died before receipt of the Payment should be returned to the IRS by following the instructions in the Q&A about repayments,” reads the IRS website. “Return the entire Payment unless the Payment was made to joint filers and one spouse had not died before receipt of the Payment, in which case, you only need to return the portion of the Payment made on account of the decedent. Williams Park to Elliott Avenue Park.Williams served as chief of police from the 1920s to the 1960s, according to the commission.The reason behind the name change is according to the city's website, Robinson was in Sanford on April 7, 1946, playing in an exhibition game for the Montreal Royals.According to the commission's documents, at the top of the second inning, Williams ordered Robinson to quit "because the city did not allow integrated teams to use city-owned fields."Williams then entered the dugout and told Robinson's manager that if he didn't leave the ballpark, it would be called off, the document stated.Robinson went on to break the race barrier with the Brooklyn Dodgers in 1947. 983

A student of Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School sent a tweet in response to conservative commentator Tomi Lahren, which went viral on Thursday. Student Carly Novell sent the tweet at 8 a.m. on Thursday, roughly 18 hours after 17  people were killed in the Parkland, Florida high school. "I was hiding in a closet for 2 hours," Novell wrote ."It was about guns. A Pinckney, Mich. woman is recovering after she was bitten by a rattlesnake while walking in her yard.Laura Bowen says she was cleaning out her garage, carrying some rakes down a walkway between her home and garage. That's when she says she didn't see the rattlesnake on the ground in front of a garage door, but almost immediately felt a burning pain in her leg when it bit her."It was like a bee sting times 10," Bowen said of the bite. "It was instant fry." Bowen is slowly recovering from the incident, which happened noon on Aug. 20."Just kept telling myself don’t over react because it’s just probably a garden snake or something," she said. "I took a couple shutter steps and looked back and it was a huge snake."The bite happened so fast, and the excruciating pain was almost instant."It was like acid, burn, pain," Bowen said.She says she took a picture of the snake after the bite. Emergency responders immediately recognized it as an Eastern Massasauga Rattlesnake."That was the best thing that I did was to take that photo so they could identify it and know what they were treating," she said.Bowen spent four days in the hospital and received 10 vials of anti-venom. She still plays that day in her head over and over again, and is thankful everything is going to be ok."I think I’m going to buy some garden boots, the rubber ones that are clunky," Bowen said. "Definitely re-thinking my garden attire."She's currently using a cane to help her get around, and should be able to walk on her own again within a week.Bowen has two more doctors appointments just to make sure everything is healing well. 1700

A task that once took days has been reduced to hours, thanks to the use of drones and laser technology.The Scripps Institution of Oceanography is mapping the shoreline of San Diego's coast  to study beach and cliff erosion. The new technology, paid for by the California State Parks and the Army Corps of Enginners, has made that task much easier."This is allowing us to get a more comprehensive view of the beach and the cliffs," says lead researcher Adam Young.Young and his team will drive the entire coast from La Jolla to Oceanside twice a year. They're using a laser enhanced camera and a drone to create a 3D map of the coast. Over time, they'll be able to compare the maps and see where and how the beach is eroding."We're going to have to start looking to the future," Young says. "And we're not going to be able to prepare properly unless we collect data and understand what's happening now."In addition to the twice yearly studies, Young says they'll look at sand levels after storms and at how sand moves throughout the year.Young says it can help predict what areas of the cliffs are susceptible to collapse. 1139
