President Donald Trump returned to the Oval Office on Wednesday for the first time in five days following his three-day stay in Walter Reed Medical Center. Trump was released from the hospital on Monday. On Wednesday, Trump released a video statement on Twitter to reassure Americans he is feeling well. Despite complications from the coronavirus late last week, which included a high fever and low oxygen levels, the president said that his coronavirus infection was a “blessing from God.”While the president may still be contagious from the virus, there are questions on when the president first tested positive for the virus, and when his last negative test was. Knowing when the president first contracted the virus is important as those with the virus are still considered contagious 10 days after the onset of the virus, according to the CDC.“I wasn’t feeling so hot,” Trump said. “And within a very short period of time, they gave me Regneron… It was like unbelievable.”The Regeneron treatment is formally known as "REGN-COV2," and is an experimental drug that has only been trialed on 275 patients before the president’s infection. The treatment is a combination of two monoclonal and was designed specifically to block infectivity of SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19, the company said. REGN-COV2 is still early in its trial process to test for efficacy and side effects. “I want everyone to get the same treatment as your president, because I feel great,” Trump said. “I feel like perfect. I think this was a blessing from God that I got it.”Trump went on to blame China for the spread of the virus, and said he wanted to make treatments free to Americans. 1682

POWAY, CA (KGTV) - A post office in Poway could soon be named after Ray Chavez, who was the oldest living Pearl Harbor survivor when he passed away in 2018.Wednesday, California Representative Scott Peters will announce legislation to make the change. He says it's backed by every member of California's Congressional delegation.Chavez served in the Navy and was stationed on the USS Condor minesweeper on December 7, 1941. After the Japanese fighter planes attacked, he spent 9 days searching the water for enemy subs and wreckage of sunken US ships.Over the last few years, Chavez had been a staple of WWII and Pearl Harbor commemoration ceremonies, even flying to Washington DC to meet with President Trump in the spring of 2018.He passed away in November of 2018.RELATED: Oldest Pearl Harbor survivor dies at 106It takes an act of Congress to name a Post Office. In a news release, Peters' office says that a handful of local leaders from the City of Poway, the Post Office and military groups will gather at the Post Office on Midland Road to show their support and urge Congress to approve the change."He didn’t grab the spotlight, the spotlight came to him," says Mark Balmert, the President of the San Diego Military Advisory Council. "He accepted that, and he did a great job of telling people what it was like to be part of the Greatest Generation."RELATED: Oldest Pearl Harbor survivor laid to restPeople in Poway say they'll be proud to go to a Post Office named after a local hero."Every day people will see his name there," says Karen Simonich. "He’s a survivor who lived a long life. It’s an honor for him and I think people will appreciate his name being remembered that way.""It’s terrific," says Len Holyk. "It's a big honor for him and his family and for all the vets out there that served the country."Balmert says he hopes the change will inspire more people to learn about Chavez and the legacy of WWII Veterans."He was always proud to be an American and proud to serve and very humble about it," says Balmert. 2041

Polls have officially opened in several states for the 2020 general election as Americans decide who will lead their country for the next four years. As of 7 a.m. ET, polls have opened in every state in the eastern time zone, and most of the polls in the central time zone have opened as well.In the final days, polling continued to show that President Donald Trump faces an uphill battle in his re-election bid against Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden, as Trump trails by between 5 and 10 points in many national polls. However, he faces a smaller deficit in several key swing states. In Pennsylvania, which many analysts consider will be the "tipping point," Biden leads by anywhere from between four and seven points. While millions of Americans will cast their ballots on Tuesday, record numbers have already voted. According to Vox, about 98 million Americans voted early — whether in-person or by mail — as fears of the COVID-19 forced many to plan ahead.Vox also reports that nearly a dozen states have already seen 90% of the ballots cast compared to the 2016 election.Due to high numbers of mail-in ballots — and state procedures for counting them — there's a significant chance that analysts will be unable to project a winner for the presidency by Tuesday night or Wednesday morning. In Pennsylvania, officials could not begin processing and counting mail-in ballots until Tuesday morning, while other states like Florida allow some of that work to be done by election day. It's not just the presidency on the line on Tuesday. Democrats also believe they have a shot at taking control of the Senate. In order to do so, they would need to pick up a net of three Senate seats and likely account for a probable loss in Alabama, where Democratic Sen. Doug Jones is expected to lose to Republican challenger Tommy Tuberville. 1843

President Donald Trump said Friday that he canceled a US military parade planned for Veterans Day weekend, blaming Washington city officials for inflating costs amid reports that indicated the event's price tag had soared over initial estimates."The local politicians who run Washington, D.C. (poorly) know a windfall when they see it. When asked to give us a price for holding a great celebratory military parade, they wanted a number so ridiculously high that I cancelled it," Trump tweeted Friday morning. The President said he will instead "attend the big parade already scheduled at Andrews Air Force Base on a different date, (and) go to the Paris parade, celebrating the end of the War, on November 11th."He added, "Maybe we will do something next year in D.C. when the cost comes WAY DOWN. Now we can buy some more jet fighters!"CNN has reached out to the Washington, DC, mayor's office for response.  921

President Donald Trump said his departing chief economic adviser Gary Cohn could someday return to his administration after making several hundred more million dollars."He may be a globalist, but I still like him," Trump said of Cohn, who was sitting in the room and announced earlier this week he is resigning as director of the National Economic Council. "He is seriously a globalist, there is no question. But in his own way he's a nationalist because he loves our country."Cohn received a hearty applause from the Cabinet.  540
