Tropical Storm Epsilon has strengthened into a Category 1 hurricane.As of 11 p.m. Tuesday, Epsilon is moving toward the northwest near 13 mph.This general motion is expected to continue tonight, followed by a slightly slower west-northwestward motion on Wednesday.A turn toward the north-northwest is expected on Thursday.On the forecast track, Epsilon is forecast to move closer to Bermuda on Thursday and make its closest approach to the island on Thursday night.Epsilon now has maximum sustained winds near 75 mph with higher gusts. Additional strengthening is forecast during the next day or two.A Tropical Storm Watch is in effect for Bermuda.In the most active hurricane season on record, in 2005, late-season storms continued late into the year. Various sex toys, including a vibrator, were mistaken for a bomb, causing a partial closure at Berlin's Sch?nefeld Airport on Tuesday.Employees at the airport were conducting routine X-rays of luggage when they spotted "suspicious content in a luggage piece," according to the federal police in Berlin.Because it was unclear from the initial scan what the bag contained, an alert was issued shortly before 11 a.m., resulting in the closure of the airport's D terminal while police investigated the suspicious items.The owner of the bag was called over the airport speaker system and eventually talked to police about his luggage.However, he was reluctant to properly explain the contents of the bag -- possibly because of embarrassment, according to a federal police spokesperson -- saying instead that his luggage contained "technical stuff."After an hour-long investigation involving a bomb squad, authorities eventually determined that the items were sex toys.The airport's D terminal was reopened at noon.The incident came on the same day that Frankfurt Airport -- Germany's busiest airport -- was evacuated after a family that tested positive for explosives was mistakenly allowed to leave the security area.The security slip in Frankfurt affected over 7,000 passengers.Both incidents came during the one of the busiest months for travel in Europe, as many people are on vacation.In 2016, the latest year with available data, nearly a quarter of the 1.2 billion pleasure trips taken by Europeans occurred in July and August. 1537

Two suspects allegedly dismembered a missing soldier's body and attempted to burn it after she was bludgeoned to death, according to a federal criminal complaint released Thursday.Guillen went missing from Fort Hood on April 22. Human remains were found in connection with her disappearance earlier this week.The two suspects in the case have been identified as Spc. Aaron Robinson and his girlfriend, 22-year-old Cecily Anne Aguillar of Killen, Texas.The Army has confirmed that Robinson died Wednesday morning of a self-inflicted gunshot wound during an interaction with police. Aguillar is currently in custody in the Bell County Jail.According to the affidavit, on April 22, Robinson said he texted Guillen to inform her he was in the arms room at Fort Hood. The message is the last known text message Guillen received to her phone.In the message, Robinson told Guillen to read serial numbers for equipment and afterword he gave her paperwork and the serial number for a .50 caliber machine gun that needed servicing.Robinson said Guillen left the arms room, and he believed she would have gone to the motor pool. Witnesses at the motor pool prepared to receive paperwork from Guillen claimed she did not arrive with the paperwork.The affidavit says witnesses later saw Robinson pulling a large "tough box" with wheels, that appeared to be filled with a heavy object.On June 30, Aguilar told authorities that Robinson told her that he had hit a female soldier in the head with a hammer multiple times in the arms room, killing her, the affidavit says. United Airlines is reportedly working with the CDC to alert passengers onboard a flight last week from Orlando to Los Angeles they may have been exposed to COVID-19 after a passenger had an inflight medical emergency and later died. A man who tried to help the man is now reporting symptoms.United says a man onboard flight UA591 on December 14 had coronavirus-like symptoms, including loss of taste and smell, according to statements his wife made, before suffering a medical emergency onboard.A nurse and EMT began CPR on the passenger as the flight was diverted to New Orleans to get the man help.When the plane landed, they believed the man’s emergency was cardiac arrest, and they allowed passengers to “take a later flight or continue on with their travel plans,” the airline told NBC News.The airline now says they were contacted by the CDC and “are sharing requested information with the agency so they can work with local health officials to conduct outreach to any customer the CDC believes may be at risk for possible exposure or infection," a representative for the airline told CBS LA.The man who says he performed CPR on the passenger, Tony Aldapa, says he is now experiencing symptoms of COVID-19.
