An arrest has been made after authorities say a driver intentionally rammed another car in Southern California, killing three teenage boys and injuring three others. The California Highway Patrol says the Toyota Prius was hit Sunday night in Temescal Valley, went off the road and slammed into a tree. Three boys died and three had moderate injuries. A witness followed the other car and CHP officers arrested 42-year-old Anurag Chandra of Corona in a neighborhood near the accident scene. He was booked on suspicion of murder with malice. An Ohio TV meteorologist was arrested Thursday and charged with possessing child porn.Mike Davis, 60, has been a meteorologist at WBNS 10TV for more than 30 years.Davis is accused of possessing what authorities describe as a significant number of child pornography images, but they did not give a specific number. Authorities allege he also sent such images to other people.“He has been charged with pandering sexual oriented material, second-degree felony,” said Sheriff Dallas Baldwin in a press conference. “Currently housed at the main jail. This is a punishable by up to eight years in prison and [a] ,000 fine."The investigation came after the Franklin County Internet Crimes Against Children task force got a tip. It led to search warrants for electronics at his home and office.Davis' arraignment is set for Friday morning. As 600,000 California power customers remain without power due to a planned shutoff to minimize the fire risk, a wildfire in California quickly swept through a mobile home park on Thursday, setting dozens of structures ablaze.The mobile home park is located in Calimesa, California, which is 70 miles east of Los Angeles. At least 74 structures have been destroyed, according to Riverside County fire officials. Dry conditions coupled with gusty winds have allowed for ideal fire conditions in the state. According to local reports, schools had to shelter in place students. A pair of fires in the Calimesa area have combined to scorch 900 acres, as of Thursday evening. 682
At a briefing by the White House's coronavirus task force, Sec. of State Mike Pompeo said that the U.S. and Mexico have agreed to end all non-essential travel between the border of the two countries.The agreement is similar to one with Canada that was announced earlier this week. Essential travel, including trade and commerce, will continue.The travel restrictions go into effect on Saturday.Pompeo also said that the CDC has ordered that all foreign nationals not be allowed into the U.S. without proper documentation.
