TIJUANA, Mexico (KGTV) - A witness to a crash on the Tijuana side of the U.S.-Mexico border is describing the chaos as a truck plowed into vehicles and vendors. “I heard boom, boom, boom,” said the witness, who wishes to remain anonymous. He had just finished visiting his mother in Mexico and was waiting in traffic at the San Ysidro Port of Entry to return to the United States when he saw the black truck coming up behind him. The truck driver hit three vehicles and stopped, the witness said. Other witnesses surrounded the black truck and popped the tires, the witness told 10News. “His wife turned to him and said ‘Go, go, go,'” the driver said. People who appeared to be homeless stopped to grab food that was scattered on the ground after the crash. The witness pulled over to help a woman who was struck by a taco cart, but he slipped in salsa and was injured. He saw a man grabbing a peso bill from his front seat and returned to his vehicle. Mexican police and firefighters closed down traffic for about 20 minutes. When the situation was cleared, northbound traffic into the U.S. was consolidated into two lanes, the witness said. 1333

(KGTV) – A large brush fire burning in the Cleveland National Forest’s Trabuco Canyon is spreading quickly Monday afternoon. The fire, dubbed the Holy Fire, was reported around 1:30 p.m. near Holy Jim Canyon and Trabuco Creek roads, according to KABC.The Orange County Fire Authority said the blaze grew quickly from between seven and 10 acres to at least 4,000 by 8 p.m. and is currently spreading at a moderate rate. TRAVERSE CITY, Mich. (AP) — A federal grand jury has indicted six men on charges of conspiring to kidnap Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer.In October, the men were arrested in what authorities describe as a plot by anti-government extremists angry over the Democratic governor's policies to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.U.S. Attorney Andrew Birge announced in a statement that the indictment was handed down Wednesday.According to an indictment released Thursday, Adam Fox, Brandon Caserta, Ty Garbin, Kaleb Franks, and Daniel Harris, all of Michigan, and Barry Croft of Delaware, allegedly began to plan the kidnapping last summer.According to the indictment, they allegedly conducted surveillance of Whitmer's rural vacation home and practicing the use of firearms and explosives.On August 23, Garbin, Franks, and Caserta met up with Harris near his residence in Lake Orion, Michigan, to examine each other’s identification documents to make sure they weren't undercover law enforcement agents or informants, according to the affidavit.WXYZ reports that federal agents were infiltrated among the group as either confidential informants and undercover FBI agents.According to the indictment, Fox ordered ,000 worth of explosives from an undercover agent in September.Fox also ordered a taser in October, WXYZ reported. Fox was also photographed at the governor's summer home drawing a map of the property.According to WXYZ, Fox, Garbin, Franks, and Harris were arrested after showing up in Ypsilanti, Michigan, to pay the undercover FBI agent posing as a co-conspirator for the explosives.
