I was kind of surprised at how hard it is to figure out your balance," Hunter said.On some days, the mental anguish can be as bad as the physical pain. But Hunter has found relief in an unexpected way."The first day they came in here I was having a really bad morning. I was really close to crying, actually," he said. "And the dogs all jumped on my bed, started licking my face. I don't know what it is about a dog licking your face but snapped right out of it."The dogs are a part of the Walter Reed Bethesda Facility Dog Program, and Sully is perhaps its best known participant."Just walking down the hall we get stopped regularly to want to pet Sully, to have a picture with Sully, to meet Sully," Samantha Murdock, Sully's handler, said.But for Hunter, it's not Sully's fame that impresses him. It's how Sully and the other dogs can make such a difference."I was at a point where I was ready to commit suicide and I had a couple friend that were in the Navy and saw it," Hunter said. "They saved my life that night and these dogs do that on a weekly basis."It's a weekly pick-me-up that can make a lifelong difference. 1570

CARROLL COUNTY, Ind. — Several people were injured after a vehicle slammed into the back of a horse-drawn buggy in Carroll County, Indiana, on Sunday evening. Carroll County Sheriff Tobe Leazenby says a 30-year-old woman was driving northbound on State Road 75 just after 5:30 p.m. when she ran into the back of the buggy, which was carrying eight passengers. The driver told deputies that she had leaned over to pick up something on the floorboard and didn't realize the buggy was in front of her until it was too late. She said she tried to brake, but wasn't able to stop in time before slamming into the back of the buggy. 638

DENVER – The three detainees who escaped an immigration detention facility in Aurora on Sunday have been captured, officials announced on Friday.The escapees were found in three different locations but had spent several nights together in a safe house in Colorado Springs after the escape, according to an Immigration and Customs Enforcement news release.Amilcar Aguilar-Hernandez, 23, from El Salvador, who is currently a suspect in a rape case in Fort Carson, was found in Colorado Springs, where ICE officers took him into custody.Aguilar-Hernandez was sleeping at a job site to avoid being recaptured, an ICE news release said. The other two escapees from Honduras — Douglas Amaya-Arriaga and Carlos Perez-Rodriguez — had no criminal history. The 18 year olds were arrested in the Denver area. 810
