BEIJING, Aug. 21 (Xinhua) -- Active Chinese military units that originated from forces that fought the Japanese during World War II will march in next month's military parade marking the 70th anniversary of the end of the conflict.
"Japan's actions of deliberately intervening in the South China Sea issue and playing up regional tensions run counter to regional peace and stability, and severely undermine the political and security mutual trust between China and Japan," said the spokesperson.
Choummaly, who is also the general secretary of the LPRP Central Committee, lauded China's great contribution during World War II and the deep friendship forged between the Chinese and Lao people as they fought side by side.
The vice-premier and her team were met at Capital International Airport by Li Zhanshu, member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, member of the Secretariat of the CPC Central Committee and director of the General Office of the CPC Central Committee, Guo Jinlong, member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, State Councilor Yang Jing and a group of ranking officials, along with 500 people from all walks of life.
