BEIJING, March 26 (Xinhua) -- The "Belt and Road" initiatives, a key topic for the 2015 Boao Forum for Asia (BFA) as it opens on Thursday in Hainan, are a product of inclusive cooperation, not a tool of geopolitics.
Yang's comment came in response to media reports about concerns of how the Silk Road Economic Belt initiative would affect the development of the Russia-proposed Eurasian Economic Union (EEU). Current member countries include Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan and Armenia.
Hosted by Tsinghua University, the INTERMAG is being held in Beijing for the first time from May 11 to 15.
After the talks, the two leaders witnessed the signing of a number of cooperative documents on economic and technological cooperation, infrastructure building and personnel training.
Calling China an important political and trading partner, Sargsyan said Armenia welcomes Chinese enterprises to invest and participate in infrastructure construction and engage in mining cooperation.
