SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — A cruise ship passenger and three crew members who arrived in San Diego on Monday have since tested positive for the novel coronavirus.County spokesperson José álvarez confirmed a passenger on the Celebrity Eclipse, which arrived in San Diego Monday, has tested positive for COVID-19. Tuesday afternoon, county health officials revealed that 3 crew members, who had been self-isolating, also tested positive. County health officials said they were notified before the ship came in that one passenger had a heart ailment and "possible" pneumonia. "We've been told all the way through that we were absolutely fine, no one sick at all, so it's a bit strange," said Filgate. Filgate and the other passengers went through a health screening before they were allowed to leave the ship. "We were very relieved to leave the ship, but thinking about what that might have represented to the people you came in contat with, it's not such a great feeling now," said Filgate.A letter from Celebrity Cruises was sent to passengers reading, "because you were a passenger on this same voyage, it is possible you were exposed to someone who was sick with COVID-19."The letter goes on to direct passengers to complete a 14-day isolation. The passenger is not a San Diego County resident. The passenger is in the hospital in serious condition."There is no change in the plan of disembarking the remaining passengers today," álvarez said regarding the ship. The non-profit based out of southeast San Diego hires inmates to work from the inside. SAN DIEGO (CNS) - Two San Diego City Council members called Wednesday on California Attorney General Xavier Becerra and District Attorney Summer Stephan to investigate San Diego City Attorney Mara Elliott's possible role in an alleged child sexual abuse cover-up at the San Diego Junior Theatre.Council members Scott Sherman and Vivian Moreno sent a jointly written letter to Becerra and Stephan imploring them to investigate allegations made by attorney Matt Valenti that Elliott improperly shared information on the case with then-Junior Theatre Board member Gil Cabrera, who Valenti claims tried to silence the case's whistleblowers."We are writing to respectfully request your respective offices' review and consideration for appropriate action, as the authority to investigate these complaints falls under the jurisdiction of your departments," their letter states. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - A family killed in a Logan Heights house fire in October was laid to rest Friday.Jose Antonio Romero Mayo, 44, Nicolasa Mayo-Cortes, 46, and daughter Iris, 21, all died from their injuries following the Oct. 13 fire.Funeral services were held at Saint Anthony of Padua in National City Friday morning.RELATED: Family's oldest son charged in Logan Heights house fire deathsTwo other surviving family members, Wendy and Angel, were out of the hospital and in attendance.After the church service, a funeral procession drove by the house the family once called home.
