FORT COLLINS, Colo. – Colorado State University says it “deeply regrets” the experience two Native American teens underwent on a campus tour earlier this week, but says it has been unsuccessful in getting ahold of the family.“Early this week, University officials reached out directly to the family of the young men & their high school. We’d like the opportunity to speak w/Ms. Gray & her sons but we have not heard back from the family. We ask them to please get in touch with us at their convenience,” the university said in a string of tweets posted to its official Twitter account.“We will refund any expenses they incurred traveling to CSU. We deeply regret the unwelcoming and concerning experience they had while guests on our campus,” the university added. “The Office of Admissions, Office of the Vice President for Diversity, Native American Culture Center, and CSU Police Department all are reviewing how such an incident can be avoided or handled differently in the future.” 1002

FREDERICK, Colorado – The bodies of Chris Watts’ two young daughters were found inside oil and gas tanks that “were mostly full,” several high-ranking sources tell Scripps' Denver affiliate KMGH-TV.The high ranking sources said Thursday evening they believe Watts placed the bodies of 4-year-old Bella and 3-year-old Celeste in the oil and gas tanks owned by Anadarko in order to hide the bodies and conceal the smell.Frederick police officials said in a 6:30 p.m. update Thursday that the bodies of the two young girls were found in close proximity to the other body whom officers strongly believe is Shanann Watts. Her body was found on property owned by Anadarko Petroleum earlier Thursday. Investigators have not yet confirmed the location of the bodies. PHOTOS: Chris Watts arrested, charged for family deathsThey were recovered as 33-year-old Christopher Watts sat behind bars at the Weld County Jail on suspicion of murdering his family.Watts was an employee at Anadarko up until Wednesday, the oil and gas company confirmed to Denver7. The husband and father was taken to jail at 11:30 p.m. Wednesday after he was detained for questioning. Two law enforcement sources said Watts had confessed to killing his wife and daughters. He faces investigation on one count of first-degree murder after deliberation; two counts of first-degree murder – position of trust; and three counts of tampering with a deceased human body. All three were reported missing Monday around 2 p.m. after Shanann did not arrive to a scheduled meeting. In addition to having two daughters, Shanann was also 15 weeks pregnant. The FBI and CBI were brought in to help Frederick police in the investigation.Weld County prosecutors said they believe Shanann and the girls were killed inside of the family’s home but did not say why they believe that. There is a candlelight vigil in front of the Watts home scheduled for 8:30 p.m. Friday. 1986

Smith hosted "Shepard Smith Reporting" starting in 2013, and before that, was the anchor of "Studio B."CNBC, which is more geared toward financial news, said it will use Smith’s program beyond financial news.“Much like our coverage of the coronavirus pandemic, CNBC reporters and producers can go beyond the financial markets to tell rich, deeply-reported stories across the entire landscape of global news. Following a three-month break from the campaign trail, President Donald Trump told reporters from the White House pool on Wednesday that he is planning to resume campaign rallies soon.An exact date and location for upcoming rallies isn’t available yet, but Trump said that he has visits to Oklahoma, Florida, Arizona, North Carolina on his schedule. Trump and rival Joe Biden were forced off the campaign trail in March as the coronavirus began to spread in earnest throughout the US.The CDC still recommends against large gatherings of 250 people or more,, and some states are still seeing an increase of coronavirus cases. One of those states is Arizona, where the state’s governor has told hospitals to prepare to go over capacity as the state is seeing a surge in coronavirus-related hospital stays.Trump’s announcement comes on the heels of reports that the Republican Party is planning on moving its convention to Jacksonville, Florida, from Charlotte, North Carolina, as the state’s governor would not commit to lifting a ban on mass gatherings at the time of the August event. 1092
