McDonald's is sweetening up its breakfast menu by adding three new items.The fast-food chain announced Wednesday that beginning Oct. 28, consumers will be able to order blueberry muffins, cinnamon rolls, and apple fritters from its menu.McDonald's said the new items would be available all day.For the first time in eight years, the sweet treats are the first addition of bakery items to the chain's core menu, joining cookies and pies."McDonald's has been famous for our savory breakfast menu for almost fifty years," said Linda VanGosen, Vice President, Brand and Menu Strategy, McDonald's USA in the news release. LOUISVILLE, Ky. – A man was arrested Sunday after allegedly saying on Facebook live that he would shoot Louisville police officers for ,000.The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Western District of Kentucky said Sunday that 29-year-old Cortez Lamont Edwards was in possession of an AR variant pistol including a non-extendible support brace and extended magazine when he went live last Wednesday.In the video, Edwards says he’s requesting to be paid ,000 to shoot the officer on scene for a disturbance in the street in front of his home, according to a criminal complaint.Authorities say an investigation revealed that the Louisville man is a convicted felon, having been convicted of complicity to trafficking in a controlled substance, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.Edwards was taken into custody Sunday after a team of law enforcement agencies executed a search warrant at his home. He’s being charged with being a felon in possession of a firearm.If convicted at trial, the maximum sentence for unlawfully possessing a firearm is 10 years in prison, a 0,000 fine, and three years of supervised release.Louisville has become a site of unrest this year, with people calling for justice in the Breonna Taylor case. Michigan State Police say they have a trooper who has been hit by cars 11 separate times while on the job.That trooper, who works out of the Oak Park station, has been with the department for 25 years and is still patrolling today knowing every traffic stop is putting his life on the line."He's been hit in his patrol car and also struck standing on the side of the road,” said MSP Lt. Mike Shaw.Shaw admits that it might be a record, but said he doesn't know any officer who hasn't been hit by a another car while on the job.“I’ve been hit, the troopers standing behind me have all been hit. It’s not ‘if’ it’s a ‘when’.”He said traffic crashes are the number one cause of death for law enforcement patrol officers.Today first responders from across south east Michigan met to highlight the state's Move Over Law."It's a very simple law to go by," he said. "If you can move over, move over.
