Campbell Soup has disavowed claims made by a company lobbyist that George Soros' foundation is assisting a caravan of migrants bound for the United States. In a tweet sent on Monday, Kelly Johnston, Campbell's vice president of government affairs, wrote that the Open Society Foundations has arranged for "troop carriers" and "rail cars" to support the caravan, which formed in Central America. Johnston's Twitter account has been deleted, and the tweet is no longer online. CARLSBAD, Calif. (KGTV -- It's an historic gem in Carlsbad. Some of Hollywood's biggest stars of the 1930's would gather for a here for a relaxing get away from Los Angeles. A vacation home to Leo Carrillo from the TV show "The Cisco Kid." Once a massive ranch, now transformed into an 1800 acre city park in Carlsbad. Mick Calarco, Project Manager with the City of Carlsad calls the park a "manifestation of Carrillo's childhood dreams." Million- dollar homes now surround the park, but it was once a sprawling and working ranch with livestock and wild animals. Peacocks still roam the property, original descendants of the birds Carrillo bought for the ranch."You can truly lose yourself out here," said Calarco. The old adobe buildings have been beautifully restored to their original splendor. Carrillo bought the property in 1937. His famous friends, including Clark Gable would often visit the ranch. In every building you can see Carrillo's vision for preserving early ranch architecture. Adobe was a central theme in Leo's remembrance of of his childhood ranches. After Carrillo's daughter, Tony, left the estate, the buildings began to fall apart. The City of Carlsbad acquired the remaining 10.5-acre ranch in 1977. It now serves as a park to educate and advocate for ranch preservation and restoration. The park is open daily 9 A.M.- 5 p.m. 1359

CARLSBAD, Calif. (KGTV) - A company in Carlsbad is doing its part to help the animals injured by wildfires in Australia.Oska Wellness has donated ten of its patented Oska Pulse devices to animal hospitals in New South Wales."I have a cat and a dog, my daughter has a snake, we're animal lovers," says Dr. Jeff Marksberry. "So anything you can do personally or as an organization, we're going to do."The device uses electromagnetic pulses to help realign the ionic charges within damaged cells. "All of your cells in your body have a plus/minus. They work with electronic properties," says Dr. Marksberry. "When someone's injured, when they have pain, when there's inflammation, those things all change, those properties..."We use the pulsed electromagnetic field to realign those charges to heal the cells."The Oska Pulse has been used on humans since 2015, but Dr. Marksberry says they know for a fact that it works on koalas as well."There was a koala during the 2015 wildfires that made the news for not responding to any pain treatments," he explains. "Our founder donated one of the prototypes to the vets there. The koala had a great response. The koala's name was Oska, so we actually adopted that as our name for the US device."Dr. Marksberry says the ten devices they sent can help treat dozens of patients, since multiple animals can use it at once, and treatment only takes a few hours each day."As long as it's next to the animal, they can still get pain relief from the device and go ahead and get normal rehabilitation treatments they've been getting," he says. For more information about the Oska Pulse or Oska Wellness, visit www.oskawellness.com. 1670
