(KGTV) — Some California theme parks have announced temporary closures this month to fight the spread of the novel coronavirus.Disneyland, California Adventure, and Universal Studios have all announced temporarily closing parks to combat the spread of the virus.Disneyland and California Adventure will close on Saturday, March 14, and remain closed through the end of the month. (KGTV) - The group leading the campaign to transform the San Diego County Credit Union Stadium site into a west campus for San Diego State University has major concerns over the question that will be posed to voters on the November ballot. Friends of SDSU is dismayed to the point that the issue could wind up in court. "Our position is we've correctly portrayed the initiative measure in our corrected version. A 33-year-old woman was arrested Tuesday after North Las Vegas police said she carried a pickax onto a school campus and threatened children while they were at lunch.Police said just before noon, a resident near Tom Williams Elementary School called police regarding a woman who was carrying a pickax as she was climbing over the school's chain link fence. Two-hundred-fifty children were outside at the time.According to police, the woman, identified as Kisstal Killough, was acting erratic and screaming that she was going to kill everyone.Police arrived within one minute. She put down on the ax and dropped to the ground before orders were given by police.Killough was arrested on charges of assault, trespass, nuisance and loitering on a school property. The principal of Tom Williams Elementary sent a letter out to parents. The safety of our students is the number one priority at Tom Williams Elementary School. (KGTV) — The addition of a "notorious" galactic cantina will bring not only smugglers and bounty hunters to Disneyland in 2019, but also alcohol sales for the first time.Disneyland's "Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge" will be home to Oga's Cantina, an "otherworldy" stop for music and exotic concoctions, park officials announced Thursday.Among the cantina's limited menu options will be wine, beer, and both non-alcoholic and alcoholic cocktails, according to Disney officials.
