(KGTV) — Two San Diego breweries are coming together to help veterans and first responders suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder.Julian's Nickel Beer Co. collaborated with San Diego's Bitter Brothers Brewing Co. to create Warrior Contribution Beer, a 5%, golden ale described as, "a beer that everyone could enjoy and that would be perfect for our warm San Diego days," Nickel Beer Co. owner, Tom Nickel, says.All of the beer's proceeds will be donated to Julian's Inner North Star PTSD Retreat Center to help provide no-cost retreats to veterans and first responders suffering from PTSD.RELATED: Museum of Beer planned to open in San Diego's East Village next yearNickel says the beer started as a fundraiser idea, before it snowballed into a year-round offering."Then the thought grew into possibly brewing a special beer to release around San Diego for June, which is PTSD Awareness Month. Almost immediately the idea became to brew a year-round beer that would help raise awareness of the PTSD Retreat Center's mission as well as raise money to help put veterans and first responders through the program at no cost," Nickel said.Warrior Contribution Beer will be distributed by Karl Strauss Brewing Company across Southern California starting in May, including at local America Legion and VFW posts. The basic test kit is listed for 9.99, while a kit with video observation is 9.99.The KSHB I-team reached out to Costco for more information about the products. However, the company's corporate communications team was unwilling to respond to any questions, adding that it is not staffed to do so."As always our focus is to have merchandise available for our members at low warehouse prices," a spokesman wrote in an email.According to the Costco website, the kits are administered by Azova, which is a telemedicine platform.A fact sheet for patients found on the Azova website shows the test used is the P23 Labs TaqPath SARS CoV-2 Assay.The test has not been cleared or approved by the Food and Drug Administration. However, like many tests, it has received emergency use authorization from the agency.That means the makers of the test need to continually submit data to the FDA, which will evaluate the information and study the accuracy of diagnoses.Azova claims 98% of positive tests and 99% of negative test results are accurate."Saliva testing can be very accurate. It is probably chosen (for at-home testing) because the chance of having user error is much less than say a nasal swab," Dr. Dana Hawkinson of the University of Kansas Health System said.A customer who purchases a kit from Costco must complete a health assessment online with Azova and register for a lab order and test kit.The actual kit should come the next day, but results won't arrive for one to three days after the lab receives the sample.The kit with video observation, however, promises results in 24-48 hours."If that's the only thing that you're using for diagnosis and you have symptoms, you need to be isolated in your home until those results come back," Hawkinson added.In his opinion, it's not the most efficient way to get tested once the shipping time and wait for results are factored into the equation.However, Hawkinson believes we may see more options like this in the future."The technology is out there. It is progressing quickly," he said. These are folks that are restructuring facilities for more social distancing, so wider aisles, as an example. Decontamination technicians. These are folks that are cleaning masks and PPE for healthcare workers and so these are positions you just didn’t see a lot of before," says Beharelle.Some of the positions, such as temperature checkers, are likely part-time or temporary."And then there's positions like contact tracers. Really, those didn't exist at all before and these are positions where folks work out of their homes and essentially are call center-type employees. Eric Greitens has been indicted by a grand jury in St. Louis on a felony invasion of privacy charge. The St. Louis City Attorney's Office confirmed Greitens was taken into custody by police in St. Louis. NBC station KSDK?reports in St. Louis reports that a judge granted his release. Court documents accuse Greitens of knowingly photographing an unidentified person in a state of partial or full nudity without consent and when the victim would have had a reasonable expectation of privacy. The incident allegedly occurred on March 21, 2015.If convicted, Greitens could face up to four years in prison. Last month, Greitens admitted to having an affair with a woman in March 2015.   778
