SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- Facing an alarming increase of COVID-19 cases, Governor Gavin Newsom is requiring every county in California to close indoor operations.The roll back targets restaurants, wineries, movie theaters, family entertainment, zoos, museums, and cardrooms."We are moving back into a modification mode of our stay-at-home order," Newsom said.San Diego County and 29 other counties on the state's monitoring lists are being directed to close indoor operations at fitness centers, worship services, offices for non-critical sections, personal care services, hair salons and barber shops and malls.State officials confirmed 8,358 new COVID-19 cases on Sunday. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - Flu cases are almost three times higher in 2017 than in the previous years, said the San Diego County Health and Human Services Agency Wednesday.So far this year, three people have died from influenza A. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - From searching for jobs online to interviewing virtually, even working online, the COVID-19 pandemic has changed the way some people get and do their job."It definitely adds another element to do interviews online," said Alex McNair.McNair applied for her new job just as the pandemic hit.For everyone's safety, she and her prospective employer moved the interview from a traditional setting to a virtual one."Lytx was very forthcoming about health and safety and wanting to make sure everyone is taken care of," McNair said. "At that point, we transitioned online, and I think at that point it worked out really well for everyone."McNair got the job.She's a manager in customer support operations at Lytx, a fleet management solutions company. McNair now manages a team of people virtually."For me, of course, I want to see the office. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - Drivers who travel from northbound Interstate 5 to the Coronado Bridge will be detoured through Barrio Logan this week due to construction.Caltrans crews will shut down the north I-5 connector to SR-75 Monday through Thursday nights to install a debris fence above Chicano Park.Detour signs will guide drivers to exit at Cesar Chavez Parkway, then left to the on-ramp at SR-75 at Logan Avenue.The closure will be in effect from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. each night.Check TRAFFIC CONDITIONS. 508
