SAN DIEGO (CNS) - A convicted rapist wanted in New York for violating his parole by leaving the state pleaded not guilty Monday in a San Diego courtroom to burglary charges. Dale Dulac, 57, faces charges in San Diego of auto burglary and possession of stolen property, according to the District Attorney's Office. Dulac is being held on 0,000 bail for the San Diego charges, said George Modlin, deputy district attorney. But he also remains jailed as a fugitive from New York, where authorities say he violated the terms of his parole on Sept. 20 by leaving the state. San Diego police arrested Dulac Friday after officers recognized him walking in the 1500 block of Imperial Avenue. SAN DIEGO (AP) — The Marine Corps says one of its fighter jets collided in mid-air with another plane during a refueling operation in a remote desert area of Southern California.The pilot ejected and the other aircraft landed safely.Authorities say the F-35B jet collided with a Lockheed Martin KC-130J tanker around 4 p.m. Tuesday. Sam Clovis, President Donald Trump's nominee to be the Department of Agriculture's chief scientist, withdrew himself from consideration Thursday, the White House announced."We respect Mr. Clovis' decision to withdraw his nomination," White House press secretary Sarah Sanders said in a statement to pool reporters.Sources told CNN earlier Thursday that Clovis' nomination was imperiled over his connections to the ongoing Russia probe. SALT LAKE CITY — A 15-year-old boy has died from his injuries after he became trapped in a car that flipped into the Jordan River Canal late Saturday night.The 20-year-old driver and two kids escaped the car before emergency crews arrived, but the 15-year-old and a two-year-old remained trapped in the vehicle.Family identified the victim as Justin Bates.
