When she told the cashier that she didn't have any money on her, the cashier allegedly threw the food away.Aiken's daughter did not eat anything for the rest of the school day.According to CBS News, Aiken signed her daughter up for a free and reduced-cost lunch program at University High School. A judge in Georgia has dismissed a Trump campaign lawsuit that raised concerns about a handful of absentee ballots in Chatham County.The Associated Press reports that Chatham County Superior Court Judge James Bass dismissed the lawsuit and did not provide an explanation for his decision at the close of a one-hour hearing.The lawsuit concerned 53 absentee ballots that were not part of an original batch of ballots. At the hearing, county officials testified that the ballots in question had been received on time.The decision comes as Joe Biden continues to narrow the razor-thin lead that President Donald Trump currently has in the state.Donald Trump held a 1.2% advantage in the state with 96% of the expected vote counted on Wednesday evening.As of Thursday afternoon at 3 p.m. ET, Georgia Sec. of State Brad Raffensperger's says that about 47,000 votes remained uncounted. Echoing comments made at a morning press conference, officials said they hope they will be able to finish the count by the end of the day.Trump won the state by 5% in 2016. The last time a Democrat won Georgia was in 1992 when Bill Clinton narrowly defeated George H.W. Bush by .5%. 1170

A Lake Worth family’s home was defaced and targeted on the night of the Florida primary because of their politics, and now they worry what might happen next.Jeanne and Michael Carroll came home Tuesday night to find profanity and an anti-Trump message spray-painted on their home.“We should have freedom of speech, freedom to do whatever we want on our own property,” said Jeanne Carroll, who believes her home was targeted because of the Trump flag flying outside.In the 400 block of S K Street in Lake Worth, pride of country is on full display with American flags flapping in the wind. But the Carroll’s home is the only one with a Trump flag. It's been outside for about eight months without any problems, until Tuesday night."I feel extremely violated," Carroll said.The Carrolls went out to dinner Tuesday, and when they came home they found the words "F*** Trump" spray-painted underneath their front window near the flag."I just don't understand why anyone would take the chance of endangering themselves and coming onto someone else's property just because of a political flag," she said.Less than 24 hours later, Michael Carroll's car was also spray painted. It was tagged with the same anti-Trump message and the letter X."People are so just on opposite sides and it's so divided," neighbor PJ Mahoney said.Mahoney has a sign on her fence supporting a Republican for Governor, and she is thankful no one saw a Trump sign hanging on her house. She feels no one should destroy someone's property, no matter what political party you support."I think people are very selfish and self-centered that if they don't agree with it they think they have the right to do something about it," Mahoney said.That is what now scares Carroll. She fears with the state of politics in the country, things could escalate."What really frightens me is, if they're that bold enough to do something like this, what else is coming in the future?" she said.The couple filed a report with the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office, but there are no leads. There are security cameras around the house, but they did not catch the culprits.Jeannie said she is standing firm and will not be bullied. A college football player from the College of Wooster in Ohio died on Sunday, after he was transported to the hospital following a game on Saturday. Clayton Geib, who was an All-Conference offensive lineman from London, Ohio, died at the age of 21. Geib was a three-year starter for NCAA Division III Wooster, starting in 33 games. According to the college's athletic department, Geib was transported to the hospital on Saturday after complaining that he did not feel well. The cause of his death is unknown. "Clayton was a wonderful student and member of the College of Wooster community, and beloved by many," said Sarah R. Bolton, Wooster's president, "Our hearts are breaking, and all our prayers and thoughts are with Clayton's family, teammates, and friends."Wooster is located Northeast Ohio. Geib's death is the second among college football players in the area this year. In June, freshman Tyler Heintz died following football conditioning drills at Kent State. Heintz's cause of death was ruled as hyperthermia by a coroner. It was later discovered that Kent State employed a conditioning coach who could not produce proper credentials.  1230
