SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - A 15-year-old boy was arrested in connection with the shooting death of his father inside their Scripps Ranch home.At 8:39 p.m. Sunday, San Diego police responded to a report of a shooting at a home in the 11200 block of Affinity Court, near Scripps Ranch Boulevard.10News learned the suspected shooter's brother called 911 to report the incident.Officers arrived to find a 46-year-old Vietnamese man lying on a bedroom floor with at least one gunshot wound to his upper body. After life-saving efforts by paramedics, the man -- who was not immediately identified -- was pronounced dead at the scene.Officers combed the condominium complex and nearby area for the suspected shooter, who was identified as the victim’s 15-year-old son, but could not immediately locate him. Authorities later added that the boy is a Mira Mesa High School student. At about 1 a.m. Monday, officers responded to a reported sighting on Scripps Poway Parkway and saw the boy walking down the street. He was apprehended, and 10News learned the boy had a gun and additional ammunition with him at the time of his arrest. 1133

Escondido Police officers searched his home and seized hundreds of files Walsh had downloaded through peer-to-peer file sharing software.A jury found Walsh guilty of all charges. U.S. District Judge Anthony J. SAN DIEGO (CNS) - Warning that the change would pose serious threats to public health and safety, the San Diego County Police Chiefs' and Sheriff's Association Monday announced its opposition to a state bill that proposes extending California's daily alcohol sales cutoff time from 2 a.m. to 4 a.m.Chula Vista Police Chief Roxana Kennedy, vice president of the law enforcement group, asserted that Senate Bill 58 -- which calls for allowing bars in 10 cities throughout the state to keep serving drinks for an extra two hours a day as part of a pilot project -- would have negative effects on communities ``that are within driving distance of the cities where the bars (would) stay open later.''``Extending alcohol sales means more drunk drivers during early-morning commutes, more DUI crashes, more injuries and more deaths,'' Kennedy said, adding that the change would ``impact our ability to respond quickly to other emergencies.''Under SB 58, bars in Cathedral City, Coachella, Fresno, Long Beach, Los Angeles, Oakland, Palm Springs, Sacramento, San Francisco and West Hollywood would be cleared to remain open two hours longer each night.The change would affect more than three-quarters of the state's population, according to a letter sent from the police association to the author of the bill, Sen. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — A jury has reached a verdict in the trial of a woman accused of drunkenly dragging her co-worker with her car before fatally running him over in Kearny Mesa.Latisha Ingram, 33, was convicted of second-degree murder, gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated, hit-and-run and drunken driving in the death of 25- year-old Ha Minh Ta.Prosecutors say Ingram, Ta, and a group of co-workers went out for drinks on Convoy Street last June, when Ingram tried to driver herself home. Ta tried to stop her, eventually grabbing the door of her car.
