BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. — A woman in Florida was flown to a trauma center Saturday after she was bitten by an alligator.Nicole Tillman, 26, was swimming in a pond in Brevard County, Florida, when it happened.Brevard County Fire Rescue says the woman suffered significant bite injuries, but they are non-life threatening.A contracted nuisance alligator trapper successfully removed the 8-foot 6-inch gator from the pond. The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission is investigating the incident.Serious injuries caused by alligators are rare in Florida. BOWIE, Md. — Maryland State Police and the Prince George's County Fire Department are on the scene of a small plane crash on eastbound Route 50 near Bowie.Investigators believe the pilot misjudged a landing, causing it to crash into at least one vehicle.There were reportedly two people in the plane and vehicle at the time of the crash.
