Walmart has a plan to help eliminate the stress shoppers get when waiting in long lines.The company’s new system is called “Check Out with Me.” First, a Walmart associate scans your items with their special, mobile device. Then, they’ll swipe your credit card right there, before handing you the receipt.The process eliminates having to wait in line for a cashier.  Marketing professor Darrin Duber-Smith at MSU Denver says consumers want options, and the main option they want is convenience. He says two companies in constant competition are Walmart and Amazon.Amazon recently announced their plans to open 3,000 brick and mortar stores-- that will be cashierless—by 2021.As for Walmart’s new checkout program, the company plans to position workers in the busiest sections of the store. During a briefing Sunday evening, President Donald Trump seemed to indicate he would commit to a friendly transition of power after the election, should he lose."I think we’re going to have a tremendous victory. I don’t think there will be a transition. They say ‘will there be a friendly transition?’ Of course there will. But when we win they don’t call it a transition, do they," the president said. "Do we believe in a peaceful transition? We do," he added.Last week, President Trump would not commit to a peaceful transfer of power should he lose the election. When asked if he would commit to a peaceful transfer of power, Trump responded on Sept. 23, "we'll have to wait and see what happens." Sunday's briefing comes 24 hours after the president nominated Amy Coney Barrett for the vacancy on the Supreme Court. Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg died on September 18.Trump acknowledges the confirmation process for Barrett may not go “smoothly.” She will begin meeting with individual senators this week. EL CAJON (KGTV and wire reports) - El Cajon police are investigating the shooting death of a man that resulted following an argument along a busy street Thursday.Police said gunfire erupted in the 1400 block of East Main Street in El Cajon shortly before 9:30 a.m., about a mile west of Granite Hills High School.Witnesses told 10News that two men were arguing on the sidewalk when one man took out a gun and shot the victim. According to police, an initial investigation indicates that an off-duty security guard tried to stop either a vehicle burglary or a carjacking. At some point, the vehicle's owner got involved, shooting and killing the suspect, police say. The shooter stayed on scene and cooperated before being arrested. EL CAJON, Calif. (KGTV) -- Authorities are searching for a man who reportedly robbed a US Bank in El Cajon Monday. According to the FBI, the incident happened just after 3 p.m. at the US Bank on the 2700 block of Navajo Road. The robber reportedly approached a teller and made a verbal demand for money. After receiving the cash, the man fled the scene on foot. The robber is described as a white or Hispanic man with olive skin and grey hair who is believed to be in his 30s or 40s. He’s also six feet, one inch tall with a thin build. The man was last seen wearing a grey and white “trucker style” hat, long sleeved grey sweatshirt and baggy blue jeans.
