BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, April 11 (Xinhua) -- The United States and China need to better manage their disagreements in bilateral relations so as to ensure peace and stability as well as to contribute to prosperity in the region, Colin Willett, Deputy Assistant Secretary of U.S. Department of State said in an interview with Xinhua Monday.
"AIIB is not controversial at all," he said.
There have been many discussions on the China-proposed Belt and Road Initiative in the Himalayan country following an official visit of Nepalese Prime Minister KP Sharma to China from in March this year. The two countries agreed to enhance rail and road connectivity during the prime minister's trip.
Both China and the Arab world agreed to use the Belt and Road Initiative as the lodestar to promote their relations, Wang told reporters Thursday.
Wang suggested the two sides strengthen security cooperation and join forces in combating the "three evil forces" of terrorism, separatism and extremism.
