While meeting Wang at the sidelines of the conference, Dr. Nizar Bin Obaid Madani, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs of Saudi Arabia, said his country appreciates China's adherence to peaceful means in settling disputes concerning the South China Sea.
For his part, van der Steur said the Dutch authorities attach great importance to law enforcement and security cooperation with China. The Netherlands is willing to boost closer communication and cooperation with China, he said.
Though the focus of scientific and technological development in China has been shifting from quantity to quality, the country still lags behind developed ones in terms of cutting-edge and core technologies in fields of military and national security, he said.
