SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — More than one million of the 1.95 million mail-in ballots sent to San Diego registered voters have been returned, according to the county.The County Registrar of Voters said Friday they've received more than a million mail-in ballots back with four days left until Election Day.The Registrar said at the same time before the 2016 Presidential election, the county had only received 442,802 ballots back.Saturday, the county opened polling locations from Saturday, Oct. 31 through Monday, Nov. 2 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. All locations will be open again on Tuesday from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.Residents can locate their polling place online here. Voters can also check the back of their sample ballots and voter information pamphlets for assigned polling places.Anyone casting their ballot in person will be required to wear a face covering and to maintain physical distance at polling locations.Poll workers will have a face mask for anyone who forgets to bring on. The tethered drone doesn't require an FAA certificate, unlike untethered drones, Lee said.The tether is virtually invisible, three millimeters wide, but don't let that fool you. It is reinforced with Kevlar, a material most commonly associated with bullet-proof vests. The tiny chord serves two purposes, to provide power and send back information. "There's no wireless transmission, no way anyone can intercept it and there's no one who can take control of the drone," Lee said that makes it very appealing to agencies like police and Customs and Border Protection. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — Police are searching for a hit-and-run suspect who drove into a woman using a motorized chair in Central San Diego.On Dec. 9, just before 4 a.m., San Diego Police say 62-year-old Gloria Williams was riding her motorized mobility device in the left lane of the 100 block of Euclid Avenue, heading northbound. It's not clear why Williams was traveling in the roadway in the Lincoln Park area.The driver of a dark-colored SUV collided into the back of Williams and continued to drive northbound, according to police. Williams died at the scene.Police said they were able to retrieve some details of the suspect's vehicle using optical sensors from nearby Smart Street Lights. The street lights also captured the suspect stopping at a nearby gas station.Gas station surveillance footage showed the suspect, a black man wearing a Pittsburgh Steelers hooded sweatshirt and checkered pants, enter the gas station using a cane.Police are now asking the public for help to identify the suspect.
