Toni Anderson makes no apologies for going after the man she calls her "deadbeat ex" for having her raise their 3-year-old daughter on her own. Anderson says her ex-husband chose to go to Canada rather than pay court-ordered child support in the early 1970s. "I kind of put it on the back burner and just kind of forgot about it over the years," said Anderson. Matthew Kraft left for Kearsarge Pass on the Sierra High Route Feb. 23 and was scheduled to return Mar. 4 or 5 near Bridgeport. His rental car, a gray 2016 2-door Jeep Wrangler has not been found at the trip’s starting point in Independence. 11 law enforcement, federal, and state agencies are searching for Kraft. CAPE CORAL, Fla. -- Police arrested a Cape Coral man Sunday morning for taking target practice in his apartment after adjoining neighbors found bullet holes in their bedroom.61-year-old Ivan Bakh is charged with Shooting Into a Dwelling, and Reckless Discharge of Firearm in Public/Private Place.According to Cape Coral Police, neighbors reported being woken up by a loud bang and found a large hole in their headboard, right over their heads.Further investigation also found bullet holes into the opposite wall and in the far wall of the adjacent living room.Police contacted the next door neighbor, Bakh, in the apartment building located in the 3400 block of Skyline Boulevard.  Officers located the room opposite the neighbor's bedroom, which contained a large thick book against the wall with a red circle drawn on it.  The book appeared to be used as a target, and had been penetrated by three rounds.A 9mm casing was located in the hallway between the bathroom and the bedroom of Bakh's residence. Also located inside the home was a safe containing a 9mm Glock. The rounds located inside the magazine of the Glock handgun were a match to the 9mm spent casing located on the ground inside the residence. Bakh was arrested and transported to the Lee County Jail. 1305

Authorities hope it might make them think twice before drinking and driving.The mock DUI crash played out on the field at Sage Creek High School and it all looked very real. The aftermath of a drunk driving crash, fellow classmates injured or dead and one of their own eventually arrested for getting behind the wheel.For CHP Officer Mark Latulippe, the program, called Every 15 Minutes, takes on an ever greater meaning this year.A few months ago, his cousin Scott Latulippe, Scott’s wife and son were hit and killed by a suspected drunk driver in Austin, Texas. Scott was a well-known teacher at Valley Center High School.The message at the event Tuesday was lives forever changed because of drinking and driving. The sentiment was echoed by Officer Latulippe who says his family’s story, although tragic, is all too common.The program will continue at Sage Creek High School Wednesday with a mock funeral and presentation from Officer Latulippe. 1190

Employees were notified earlier this year, she said.The heavy equipment manufacturer also said it is "contemplating the closure" of an engine factory in La Grange, Illinois, which is part of its subsidiary Progress Rail, a supplier of railroad and transit products. The company said it might be "transitioning" its rail manufacturing to facilities in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, as well as "outside suppliers."
