Simone Williams’ hair measures 4 feet 10 inches in circumference, according to Guinness World Records.Williams has been growing her hair out for about 9 years, but she didn’t start wearing an afro with the record in mind. She told Guinness she got perms and straightened her hair in middle school to fit in, and wore her hair straight until college."I chose to transition [to natural hair] around the age of 23. It began because I wanted to save the money spent at the hair salon to help with the costs of moving into my first apartment,” Williams said in a release from Guinness. "The process was very difficult at first since I was accustomed to wearing my hair straight and I didn’t know how to manage my natural hair texture."Williams says it takes about 6 hours for her hair to dry, and she washes it about once a week. “I use a lot of conditioner because it helps detangle my hair. A bus aide with Mesa, Arizona Public Schools has been arrested for the sexual abuse of a preteen boy with autism. Mesa police report that on Tuesday they arrested 18-year-old Samantha Rose Poirier. They say she reported to them that the preteen boy tried to kiss her and asked to see her "girl parts." Police say the victim, who is reported to have the mentality of a 7-year-old, gave a much different story. He says Poirier grabbed both sides of his face and kissed him, then made him touch her breast under her shirt. Police report that they reviewed the bus video and audio recordings, which allegedly show Poirier grabbing the boy’s face and kissing him as the boy described. They say the video also shows Poirier facing the victim and nodding as the victim pulls her shirt down and reaches into it. Poirier reportedly threatened the boy by saying they would both be in trouble if he told anyone about the "kiss and touch." Poirier was arrested for sexual abuse and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. In a statement, Mesa Public Schools said Poirier was hired in August 2017 as a part-time bus aide. She was placed on administrative leave Monday, and dismissed from employment on Wednesday."Mesa Public Schools' first priority is the safety and security of our students," Executive Director Helen Hollands said. "On Friday, March 23, transportation department administration contacted Mesa Police Department when they learned of possible inappropriate behavior between Samantha Poirier and a student. A man in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma has died after being shot by police, though neighbors were yelling that he was deaf.Magdiel Sanchez, 35, was carrying a metal pipe and 15 feet away from police when shots were fired. One witness said officers yelled at him to drop what he was carrying before shooting, but he did not comply. Another said Sanchez often carried the pipe because of stray dogs in the area that would attack.Police said officers on the scene did not hear the neighbors.The officer who shot Sanchez is a police sergeant and is now on leave.
