SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- A second person has died from the flu in San Diego County so far this season, according to the County Health and Human Services Agency.The agency said the 100-year-old woman who died on October 19 had underlying medical conditions.“Influenza can lead to serious complications and even death, especially among the elderly,” said Wilma Wooten, M.D., M.P.H., County public health officer.A total of 316 cases of the flu have been reported so far this season in San Diego County. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - A woman is dead after a shooting in the Skyline area, Saturday afternoon. San Diego Police detectives said around 5:30 pm, two cars were traveling northbound on Meadowbrook Drive. Both drivers stopped at the red light at Skyline Drive. Then, the passengers got into an argument. "Our victim got out of the second vehicle and approached the front vehicle on the passenger side," Homicide Lt. Matt Dobbs said. "Witnesses heard a gunshot and saw the female stumble away."</p>VIDEO REPORT: Man pleads not guilty in Skyline road-rage slaying of young momResponding officers found the 27-year-old woman, later identified as Sylvanita Widman, suffering from a gunshot wound. The shooter drove off. “She was transported by paramedics to a local hospital," Lt. Dobbs said. "Unfortunately, she died at around 6:28 this evening.”Investigators said Widman's driver was cooperative. Meanwhile, the motive of the shooting remains unknown. Police describe the shooter as a Black man in his 20's, driving a black Mercedes Benz. He is considered armed and dangerous.Friends of Widman told 10News, she was a talented singer and dancer, and a loving mother of two young children.  1239

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - A would-be purse snatcher was caught by San Diego Police in Normal Heights Tuesday thanks to witnesses.Stephanie Moore says she was inside the Vons on Adams Avenue and 36th Street when a man grabbed her purse.As soon as it happened, Moore says she started chasing after the suspect. “I am a tough girl and the first thing I do is act instead of react.”Rocco Estello and two other good Samaritans tell 10News they saw the incident happen when they also ran after the suspect, calling police in the process."We caught up to him, but he took off this way and SDPD caught up to him, which is a really, really good blessing because it makes me feel better to be on these streets,” said Estello.The man was arrested and the purse returned. Moore says her keys are still missing, but she believes they just fell out during the chaseIn the end, Moore says she’s thankful to have her purse back and that there are good people in the world. “I always think there’s good people in the world because I see people stand up when they need to.” 1061

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - A San Diego woman is taking legal action against a trendy hair product company, claiming it caused her severe hair loss and bald spots. She’s not alone. Women around the country are claiming similar effects. They blame their hair care nightmares on Monat Global, based in Florida.“It’s been so hard,” says San Diego’s Dana Sohovich. She held back tears as she spoke exclusively with 10News about her experience. Sohovich has filed a class action lawsuit against the company, alleging it falsely promised her “longer, fuller, stronger” hair. Her suit accuses Monat of “false and deceptive advertising”.“I literally had almost a baseball size [ball] of hair in my hand,” she tells us, adding, “It's devastating.”PHOTOS: Monat users report hair and scalp damageTemecula’s Ashley Slayden showed us her daughter’s scalp. “You can see the bald spots [on] her head. You can see how thin it is. It was never that thin,” she adds. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- An Old Town San Diego bar and restaurant offered 22 cent beers for 22 minutes Tuesday to poke fun at burglars who stole .All 22 of the draft beers were discounted at Home and Away, 2222 San Diego Avenue, exactly 36 hours after the 3:07 a.m. break-in."Just the whole thing is extremely ironic and funny," said employee Jason Clay. "The comedic value I got was thinking about the time that they gambled with their life to get the amount that they did, and drilling that safe open and seeing the dollars that was in there. That's the best part."Surveillance video shows two men with baggy pants force their way into the bar Monday at 3:07 a.m. One tries unsuccessfully to pry open a cash register, then joins his partner in a back room where the two grab the safes. While leaving, they fumble the safes and nearly drop their drawers. "They were probably Raiders fans," Clay deadpanned, gesturing to his Kansas City Chiefs hat.The suspects have not been identified. 996
