It really did,” Justice Arreguin said.It happened a week ago Sunday.Arreguin was with some friends when she jumped off the cliff into the water. The first jump was fine, she said. But when she jumped the second time, it almost killed her.The big waves pulled her under and tossed her around. She couldn't breathe.“Then this guy he just popped out of nowhere and he was like 'you have to stay calm. Try to stay calm,'" Arreguin said. "And so I did and after a while, he jumped in the water when it was safe."The man pulled justice out. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) – An inmate who left a San Diego re-entry facility on Wednesday was apprehended in the North County..California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation officials said 51-year-old Larry Johnson “walked away from the Male Community Re-entry Program (MCRP) facility” on Boston Avenue in Barrio Logan Wednesday night.Staff at the facility learned Johnson’s GPS device “had been tampered with” at around 10:30 p.m. Johnson was last seen in the afternoon on an “approved pass to attend work.”Local law enforcement agencies were notified of Johnson’s disappearance, and CDCR agents fanned out to find him.At around 10:30 a.m. Thursday, CDCR officials said Johnson was taken into custody at a hotel in Carlsbad without incident. He will be transported and rehoused at Richard J Donovan Correctional Facility, officials said.CDCR officials said Johnson was in the midst of a 4-year sentence for one count of attempt to use an ID of another to obtain information, which was his second-strike offense.Johnson had been scheduled to be released to probation in May 2021. 1087

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — An El Cajon mother is searching for clues after her teenage son was brutally beaten and mugged in the East Village.Two Tuesdays ago, Sarah Swift-Farrow got the call every mother dreads. Her 19-year-old son, Titan Mellor, was in the ER and hurt badly."My heart dropped ... just a hopeless feeling," said Swift-Farrow.She believes around 2 p.m., her son, a Grossmont College student, was headed to the Family Health Centers clinic in the East Village, applying for some sort of state assistance, when it happened. Swift-Farrow learned details from the paramedics' report."He was attacked from behind by a group of people, hit in the back of the head with a glass bottle. He fell to the ground, was repeatedly punched, and lost consciousness. Then he was kicked in the face for an unknown duration of time," said Swift-Farrow.Swift-Farrow says the attackers took his keys, phone, and wallet, charging thousands of dollars in purchases on his credit cards during the next few days. As for Mellor, he suffered a concussion and a host of severe injuries."Multiple fractures in his eye socket, his nose, above the mouth, behind his ear and in the back of his head," said Swift-Farrow.She says his road to recovery won't be an easy one. His memory of the attack remains hazy."He remembers a group of six to eight males yelling at him, and then getting hit from behind," said Swift-Farrow.Swift-Farrow is making a plea for tips to help police fill in the missing details."They need to be caught because my son deserves justice, and I don’t want this to happen to anyone else," said Swift-Farrow.She says the first charge on the stolen credit card was at the nearby MTS stop. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - A water main break in Mira Mesa flooded a music and art studio, filling up rooms full of musical instruments and equipment.The sound of gushing water early Saturday night led to a flood of emotions for musician Anastasya Korol."There is a river rushing in the back ... Shocked and really sad as it started to sink in," said Korol.That night, city officials say water from a break in a 55-year-old, 36-inch steel pipe, flowed into the back of a building in the Via Excelencia Business Park. One of the businesses flooded was the San Diego Music and Art Cooperative, a music and art studio for independent artists. It's used for rehearsal space and classes.Korol says among the seven pianos damaged was the piano she played as a child. "It's upsetting to lose it ... The water goes up through the wood, warps the wood and sound board," said Korol.Also waterlogged: dozens of other instruments, from guitars to violins, along with a long list of sound equipment, artwork and art supplies. Studio founder Mathew Rakers says the total loss is hundreds of thousands of dollars."It's crazy to put years and years of work into something and see it wash away in a matter of hours," said Rakers.Rakers plans to file a claim with the city. Attorney Evan Walker, an expert in flood cases, says such cases could take anywhere from six months to two years to wrap up."You're dealing with a bureaucracy, and when you're dealing with litigation, things tend to get complicated," said Rakers.He says filing with your insurance - if you do have flood insurance - is usually speedier. A delay is something Rakers says his artists can't afford."I'm worried. The biggest loss if the loss of incomes. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - Alarming audio files and documents from the San Diego Sheriff’s Department’s Internal Affairs Division have been released about the sexual misconduct investigation into ex-deputy Richard Fischer who was accused of assaulting 16 women. Team 10 has started pouring through the records.In one audio clip, an Internal Affairs interviewer is heard questioning, "As you're buckling her, did you say, 'I hope your husband doesn't mind?'" He responded, "I don't recall saying that." He was apparently being questioned about his interaction with a handcuffed woman who was in his patrol car. "Okay. Well, do you recall if your arm or your palm of your hand touched her breast?" she asked. He said, "No. I would say I can't recall for sure if I accidentally touched- rubbed against- not rubbed. Um, unintentionally touched her breast with my arm as I buckled her in."In another clip, a woman is heard describing how she says Fischer placed her hand on his private area. She said, "Oh my God. I was, like, in a panic. I didn't know what to do."The hours of audio recordings and hundreds of pages of reports from the Department have now been made public. For months, San Diego police agencies have been working to release past records related to officer misconduct, following last year's groundbreaking order by the courts. It came after ABC10 News and other media sued to keep some police unions from blocking departments from giving up files.Fischer pleaded guilty last year to multiple assault charges, following accusations that he groped, hugged or tried to kiss more than a dozen women while he was on-duty.Records released show copies of texts from a woman who he pulled over. They read, in part, “He asks me if I wanted to make out. I swear to God [redacted] every single word of this is true."Several times throughout the audio recordings, he's asked about women who he had met while he was on calls or doing traffic stops. "Did you, um, ask her, if [she] were older if she would ever go on a date with you?" asked the interviewer. "I don't believe I did. No,” he responded. "Is it possible you asked her that?" she asked. He replied, "[I’m] probably [going to] say ‘no’. I don't remember asking her that."This May, Fischer was released from jail on custody credits, just months after being sentenced to four years behind bars. 2351
