A police union representing officers with the Rochester Police Department claimed Friday that the video of Daniel Prude's arrest that was released by the department was "not complete" and "not accurate."Michael D. Mazzeo, the president of the Rochester Police Locust Club, did not get into specifics as to what was missing from the version of the video released by the Rochester Police Department on Wednesday, citing that an investigation was ongoing.Mazzeo also said that the officers' use of a "spit hood" was within department protocols and consistent with their training, adding that officers had gone through mandated state training between 30 and 40 days prior to the incident. He he added that Prude had made references to have tested positive for coronavirus during the incident. He also called for the New York Attorney General to conduct an "impartial" and "transparent" investigation.Rochester Mayor Lovely Warren suspended seven officers Thursday after video was released that showed officers shoving Prude's head into the ground for about two minutes after finding him naked and bleeding in the street. Prude died a week later after he was taken off life support.Prude's family said he was in the midst of a mental health crisis at the time of the incident.Mazzeo also claimed that one of the suspended officers was not even involved in the Prude incident and called for the city's "law department" to be held accountable for what he described as mistakes in their investigation. He said the Locust Club was not involved in the internal investigation into the incident until Wednesday and was not aware ahead of time that the seven officers would be suspended. Mazzeo added that the union knows "no more than anyone else" about the department's internal investigation. 1787

A UPS driver in Clackamas County, Oregon called his wife who then called 911 after he heard cries of "help" coming from inside a residence while the driver was on his route. It turns out that the UPS driver was tricked by a parrot. The incident took place Monday evening, according to the Oregonian. The Oregonian reported that the UPS driver became distressed over what sounded like a human's cry for help. He then called his wife, who then called 911, alerting authorities to the screams. Deputy Hayden Sanders responded to the scene, expecting it to be tense. But thankfully, within minutes, Sanders had a reason to laugh. Sanders confirmed that Diego the parrot was behind the screams. After concluding that everyone, including Diego, was safe, Sanders posed for a photo with the mischievous parrot. The photo was then posted on the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office Facebook page.  929

A nonprofit group dedicated to finding missing persons says they've found items that "brought a lot of interest" during their search for missing Fort Hood soldier Vanessa Guillen.Guillen, a private first class soldier assigned to the 3rd Cavalry Regiment, was reported missing on April 22. She was last seen in the parking lot of her Regimental Engineer Squadron Headquarters on Fort Hood at 11:30 a.m.The Army is currently investigating whether Guillen was sexually harassed prior to her disappearance. On Tuesday, Guillen's family met with officials from Fort Hood and the Texas Criminal Investigation Command (CID) who said that they suspect foul play in her disappearance.A number of organizations have joined efforts to find Guillen, including Texas EquuSearch — a local nonprofit dedicated to finding missing persons.Tim Miller says this is the fifth time he and Texas Equusearch have traveled to search the area for Guillen."Areas that we've searched, we've cleared," said Miller. "If she would have been there, we would have found her."The search-and-rescue team has searched several areas in and around a 25 mile stretch between Fort Hood and the Leon River, looking for anything that could lead to Guillen."I'm not going to say we found evidence in the Leon River. I'm not going to say that. I am going to say we found some things that are being tested," Miller said. "So whether they have anything to do with the case, I don't know. There's certainly some things that brought a lot of interest."Wednesday's search brought them to an undisclosed location in Bell County."I can't say why we're here," Miller said. "We have a reason to be here. So we want to get these fliers out and maybe jog somebody's memory. Maybe that right call will come in. This is an area that's got to be saturated. Again, I'm hoping the right person sees the flier and says, 'I need to make a phone call.'"Miller confirmed that while investigators have an idea of where Vanessa's phone went dead, the phone has not been located. There is a ,000 reward combined between CID and League of United Latin American Citizens for information leading to Guillen's whereabouts. Anyone who may have information in her disappearance should call CID agents at 254-495-7767.This story was originally published by Olivia Levada on KXXV in Waco, Texas. 2332

A protest has erupted at the U.S-Mexico border. Watch streaming video in the player below:SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- The journey has come to an end for hundreds of migrants seeking asylum in the U.S.A large caravan arrived in Tijuana within the last week and have waited until Sunday to cross the border into San Diego.Late Sunday afternoon, members of the caravan plan to turn themselves in to customs agents seeking asylum. Most of the roughly 400 migrants in the caravan are women and children who have been staying in shelters, seeking legal counsel before trying to cross the border.Border patrol agents released a statement Saturday saying several groups associated with the caravan have been illegally climbing a scrap metal border fence. The statement warned anyone with the caravan to “think before you act.” The Secretary of Homeland Security also said in a statement earlier this week that anyone seeking asylum “may be detained while their claims are adjudicated.”Protesters say the group is taking advantage of U.S. immigration laws. A group called San Diegans for Secure Borders plans to protest at Friendship Park. They say the migrants are unwelcome and that their claims for asylum are false. 1207
