A Red Flag Warning begins at noon Thursday, lasting until 6 p.m. Friday and sparking precautions by the company. Customers Tuesday and Wednesday were told outages could come up to 48 hours after they received notifications from SDG&E. Throughout the day Wednesday, neighbors could be seen hitting the gas station to full up, making sure their generators will be powered through the outage. (KGTV) — In a show of solidarity, Escondido Police Chief Ed Varso and Mayor Paul McNamara joined community members for a peaceful demonstration outside of City Hall Wednesday.“I’m standing here on behalf of my department to make sure the community understands that we are all together in this,” said Varso at the event. “We all condemn what happened to Mr. Floyd it should have never of happened, it was wrong, and I’m glad they’re being held accountable for it.”The organized demonstration included several speakers, including Yusef Miller of the Racial Justice Coalition San Diego, Rev. FALLBROOK, Calif. (KGTV) - A man has been arrested in connection with the Fallsbrea fire that broke out in Fallbrook on Sunday, according to the San Diego Sheriff's department.The brush fire started in the area of Ramona Drive and Pala Road around 12:15 p.m.When a deputy arrived on scene to investigate the smoke, the deputy saw a white man walking away from what appeared to be the point of origin of the fire, a press release states. The man was identified as 34-year-old Brad Arands.Arands was disheveled and his behavior was suspicious, deputies said. Arands was detained until the fire was controlled and a further investigation could be conducted.The fire burned approximately five acres and threatened numerous homes. One outbuilding was destroyed. The fire was 100 percent contained by about 4 p.m. Arands was arrested on suspicion of felony arson and booked at the Vista Detention Facility.   950

Fans attending the Indianapolis 500 will be limited to about 50% capacity when the race runs on August 23, Indianapolis Motor Speedway President J. Douglas Boles said Friday.Boles also said additional health and safety measures will be considered.In late March, the Indianapolis 500 was postponed to August 23 because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
