VLADIVOSTOK, Russia, Sept. 12 (Xinhua) -- Chinese President Xi Jinping on Wednesday called on countries in Northeast Asia to seize the historical opportunity and conform to the trend of the times to strengthen cooperation in the Russian Far East and Northeast Asia for a better future of the region.
Li, chairman of the National People's Congress Standing Committee and a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, made the remarks while addressing the welcoming banquet for the eighth Beijing Xiangshan Forum.
"African countries have been positive about the Belt and Road Initiative," Li Dan said. "Clearer answers as to how and where they can participate are also expected from the summit."
"The two countries need to manage differences and problems constructively on the basis of the principles set in the four political documents between China and Japan and in the spirit of 'taking history as a mirror and facing to the future,'" said Li.
Recalling his three meetings with Xi, Kim said he felt in person the valuable and warm DPRK-China friendship, adding that the DPRK will firmly carry on and do its best to develop the friendship no matter how the international situation changes.
