In this morning, she walked out to a surreal scene.Five stickers — most of them backing Sanders and purchased at local 2016 rallies — were gone. According to the Anti-Defamation League, some extremist groups have used the 13-star flag, but it remains a historical flag mainly used for patriotic purposes.According to the homeowner, in the past three years, more than two dozen flags, signs, and banners supporting President Trump have disappeared or been vandalized, some even burned.Those type of acts are condemned by a backer of a different candidate. "Whoever the candidate is, we should have a right to show our support ... without fearing somebody will come and tear it down," said Dearborn.10News talked to several campaigns for local Republicans and Democrats. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- California Highway Patrol is investigating after a man was shot while driving on Interstate 8 Saturday night. According to CHP, the shooting happened on I-8 near Waring Road around 8:30 p.m. CHP says an unknown vehicle began firing rounds at the victim. According to CHP, the suspect fled the scene in an unknown vehicle and has yet to be located. The victim was taken to the hospital and is expected to recover. He was later arrested after CHP determined that he was under the influence of drugs and alcohol. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- Caltrans is warning drivers that a portion of northbound SR-125 will close Sunday.According to Caltrans, northbound SR-125 will close from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. between SR-905 and Birch Road.The north and southbound shoulder bike lane between SR-905 and Birch Road will also close between the same hours.According to Caltrans, the closure is for the testing of new technology, though the agency didn’t specify what technology it will be testing. 468

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - City Council leaders voted 5-3 to oppose President Donald Trump's executive order to build a wall along the U.S.-Mexico border.The resolution, introduced by Concilmember Georgette Gomez, joins several other cities and states who have also stated their opposition."The border wall is a huge mistake for our region economically and environmentally. I am happy the City Council voted to pass my resolution. Our tax dollars should be spent uplifting the quality of life for all San Diegans, and tackling our issues on road infrastructure, housing, and homelessness," Gomez said following the vote. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — City Councilman Scott Sherman is throwing his hat in San Diego's race for the next mayor.Sherman (District 7) pulled candidate intention papers this week, signaling his impending run in 2020, according to documents.Sherman becomes one of the only GOP candidates in the race to replace Mayor Kevin Faulconer, who's also a Republican.
