SAN CARLOS, Calif. (KGTV) -- Police are searching for a suspect caught on video stealing a bike from a San Carlos garage in late October. According to police, the theft happened on the 6600 block of Bell Bluff Avenue on October 25 around 2 p.m. Police say the suspect backed his truck into the victim’s garage before using bolt cutters to cut a lock and steal a M80 mountain bike. According to police, the theft wasn’t the first time mountain bikes were stolen from the same home. On October 13 and 15, the victim had two other mountain bikes stolen from the garage. The total value of the three bikes is ,000, police say. At this time, it’s unknown if the same suspect is responsible for all three thefts. The suspect is described as a white male in his 30s or 40s with short, blonde hair and a full beard. SAN DIEGO (CNS) - A 28-year-old man was behind bars Friday on suspicion of stabbing his girlfriend multiple times inside a Colina Del Sol apartment, police said.Dispatchers received multiple calls shortly before 10 p.m. Thursday from neighbors who reported hearing screaming coming from one of the apartments in a complex on 49th Street just south of El Cajon Boulevard, San Diego police Officer Tony Martinez said.Officers responding to the scene found that a woman had been stabbed multiple times and the suspect had fled, Martinez said.The victim, whose age was not immediately available, was taken to a hospital for treatment of her wounds, which were not believed to be life- threatening, the officer said.Around 10:35 p.m. Thursday, the suspect apparently called 911 and told a dispatcher his location, and that he was going to surrender, the San Diego Union-Tribune reported.The 28-year-old man, whose name was not immediately available, was taken into custody around 10:45 p.m. on El Cajon Boulevard near El Cerrito Drive, Martinez said. 1053

SAN DIEGO (CNS) - A 30-year-old man was killed when he lost control of his motorcycle and crashed into a fire hydrant in a neighborhood north of Scripps Ranch.The crash was reported around 4:20 p.m. Wednesday on Stonebridge Parkway near Stockwood Cove, off Pomerado Road in the Rancho Encantada neighborhood, San Diego police Officer John Buttle said.The victim was riding his 2019 Indian Scout motorcycle between 80-100 mph eastbound on Stonebridge Parkway when he lost control at a curve in the road, jumped the curb and slammed into a fire hydrant, Buttle said.The rider was ejected onto the roadway and pronounced dead at the scene, he said. SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – A wildlife overpass near Salt Lake City is proving to be successful at helping animals safely migrate over a busy interstate.The Utah Division of Wildlife Resources (UDWR) hailed the Parley's Canyon overpass a success in a recent Facebook post, saying it has also helped motorists stay much safer as well.In its Facebook post, UDWR included video that show many animals using the overpass to safely cross to the other side of Interstate 80. Cameras set up along the bridge captured moose, bears, porcupines, squirrels, mountain lions, deer, coyotes, and other critters.The Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) and Utah State University have been monitoring the overpass throughout the year.The overpass opened in December 2018. UDOT says it spans six lanes of interstate and was constructed to improve safety on I-80 by reducing wildlife and vehicle collisions.UDOT coordinated with UDWR on the wildlife issues specific to the project, including wildlife migration patterns.While it may be tempting to visit the bridge in an attempt to spot some critters, UDWR says to keep off the overpass and not disturb the animals. 1154
