Walmart has announced that customers won't have to leave home to return their online purchases.On Monday, the company announced they are partnering up with FedEx for a new return service that would allow items to be returned to be picked up from your home.To use Carrier Pickup by FedEx, customers would select which item(s) they are returning on Walmart's website or app, then schedule a date for pickup, and print a label.If you don't have a printer, Walmart said you'd drop it off at FedEx using a QR code off Walmart's website or app and drop the package off at a FedEx location.The "incredibly convenient" return option is free and would stay well beyond the holiday season, Linne Fulcher, Vice President, Customer Strategy, Science and Journeys said.The retail giant also announced a few changes to holiday returns, including finding purchases in-store through your debit or credit card. If you lose your receipt, start your return online to make in-store returns quick and easy and open alternate locations within the store.Walmart added that refunds would be credited sometimes as soon as the next day for online returns and same-day for in-store returns. 1171

VISTA (CNS) - A professional photographer who sexually assaulted four teenage girls during modeling sessions at a rented Carlsbad residence where he had set up a temporary studio was sentenced to 25 years in state prison Friday.Robert Koester, 52, pleaded guilty last month to 23 felonies related to raping and inappropriately touching the teens -- some of whom were drugged and unconscious during the abuse -- as well as creating child pornography of the girls.Koester also faces federal charges locally, as well as charges in his home state of Oregon, where he's accused of assaulting additional victims.RELATED: Modeling photographer pleads guilty to sex crimes against teenagersDeputy District Attorney Dan Owens said the investigations against Koester began with one of his local victims, identified in court only as Jane Doe 1, who came forward regarding the abuse and "put a stop" to his ongoing crimes. Based on her statements, Koester was arrested Nov. 13, 2018, in Carlsbad."The victims in this case showed extraordinary strength in coming forward and speaking out against this man who victimized them," according to Owens, who said the case has had "a tremendous impact on the victims who were involved in this case, not only them, but their families."Koester, who had been hired as a contract worker by Carlsbad-based Frank Model Management, raped and took nude photographs of the girls, whose ages ranged from 15 to 17 during the San Diego County incidents. WARNER SPRINGS, Calif. (KGTV) - Lightning from Thursday’s monsoonal storms sparked a brush fire burning in East San Diego County near Warner Springs. The fire started about 3:45 p.m. at the Hot Springs Lookout on Hot Springs Mountain at the Los Coyotes Reservation, Cal Fire reported. (KGTV) — Vista Unified School District union workers say they are worried their jobs are on the line and say the district could be looking at bankruptcy.Union workers rallied Thursday ahead of a district board meeting over a million budget shortfall. Union President Bill Faust represents 1,400 support staffers at Vista Unified, including custodians, secretaries and food service workers who are concerned for their jobs since those are historically among the first to be cut. Faust says the board approved almost million to add unnecessary 8th periods to two high schools and another 1,000 to fire the district's superintendent two weeks ago. He says the board is spending money it doesn't have."We are concerned. With this board mismanaging funding," Faust said. "I found out very easily the way to anybody's heart is through baking!" said Terry Chamberlin.
