Over the next five months, Viv was hospitalized, faced multiple challenging complications, and received a bone marrow transplant from an anonymous donor. One year after her diagnosis, she was in remission.Then, during a recent routine biopsy, Viv’s family learned that she is beginning to relapse, and her cancer is returning, her father said in a Facebook post on Tuesday. The biopsy revealed that 0.2 percent of her cancer cells are back.The family is working with doctors at the Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital in Cleveland to develop a plan to get Viv back into remission and fully healthy again, and to capitalize on the fact that her cancer numbers are still low, her father said.One of the potential treatments Viv’s doctors would like to administer is a process called Donor Lymphocyte Infusion, or DLI. It requires some of the blood to be extracted from her bone marrow donor and then infused into Viv, her father explained.Unfortunately, the donor registry team is unable to make contact with her bone marrow donor and the family is not legally allowed to receive information about who the donor is due to privacy and confidentiality regulations.The family posted all this on Facebook with the hope that it would be shared, and that the anonymous donor would come forward to donate his blood and get Viv the treatment she needs.The family knows the donor is a young male, likely 20 to 30 years old, and he does not live in the United States. There’s another unique connection that might help them track him down: when he donated his bone marrow, he sent along a small blue sheep figurine for good luck.Since it was posted Tuesday afternoon, G.I. A Detroit man says a manager at a nearby McDonald's tried to attack him and grab his phone after he asked the restaurant to fix his order.After a long day at work on Sunday, Tyler Lamb says he stopped at a Dearborn, Michigan McDonald's to grab some food.Lamb said his order was all wrong. According to him, the food was cold and items were missing, so he drove back through the drive thru to get his order fixed — while recording the incident on his phone.The employee working the drive-thru handled Lamb's complaint and told him to call the restaurant the next morning in order to remedy the situation.But things quickly got heated out of nowhere. The manager reached out of the drive-thru window and tried to grab Lamb's phone when she noticed he was recording.Lamb says he doesn't understand what made the manager so angry and feels he’s the one who should be upset, saying it would be nice to get an apology and his order fixed.McDonald’s has released the following statement in response to the incident: 1056

A Cirque du Soleil performer who fell Saturday night during a performance in Tampa has died, a Tampa General Hospital spokeswoman said. The acrobat who died has been identified as Yann Arnaud, according to a statement released by Cirque de Soleil's Volta."It is with immense sadness that Cirque du Soleil Entertainment Group reports that a tragic accident occurred last night, March 17, during a performance of its show VOLTA, in Tampa, Florida," the statement began. Arnaud, a longtime aerialist, was performing "the aerial straps number" when he fell onto the stage, according to the Cirque du Soleil statement. First responders moved in quickly to administer medical aid. Arnaud was taken to Tampa General Hospital, where he later died of his injuries. "The entire Cirque du Soleil family is in shock and devastated by this tragedy. Yann had been with us for over 15 years and was loved by all who had the chance to know him. A horse and donkey rescue shelter in Glennwood, IA is feeling the pain of the cold winter months.Genea Stoops, the owner of Hooves and Paws Rescue says they've been hit with a shortage of space and increase in hay prices.The shelter currently cares for 31 horses and donkeys, including seven mini horses that have sicknesses or injuries and are being rehabilitated. After a tough winter, Stoops said more horses are in need of rescue."We're starting to deal with a lot of neglect cases coming out of winter. It was a hard winter for us," said Stoops. With the bitter cold, Stoops said extra hay and straw was needed to feed the horses and keep the minis warm in their stalls. With the demand in hay, the feed costs increased."Now we're cutting into spring, and nobody's cut their hay so we're using last year's hay, which is not unusual but there's a lot of high prices on the hay and not everyone can afford it," added Stoops.Stoops says in Nebraska and Iowa, hay typically costs to a bale, but with the demand, prices have gone up to - per bale."There are neglect cases, and then there's people who are trying really hard and can't get hay. If we're having trouble finding hay, then I know others having trouble getting hay," said Stoops.There's now a waiting list of horses owners want to surrender to the shelter, but for now, Stoops is trying to get them more hay in the meantime.The horses also need spring shots which will cost the shelter at least ,100. You can learn more about the organization on their website. 1551
