Six in 10 Republican voters now believe special counsel Robert Mueller's investigation is unfair, a dramatic 15-point swing over the last six weeks amid escalating attacks from President Donald Trump.A broad 61% of GOP voters say Mueller's probe into potential coordination between the Trump campaign and the Russian government during the 2016 presidential election is not being conducted fairly, up from just 46% who said the same in early March, according to a new Quinnipiac University survey released on Thursday.Only one in four GOP voters, 26%, said they believe Mueller is conducting his investigation fairly, dropping from 36% over the same span. Six months ago, Republicans were essentially evenly split on whether the probe was fair.Majorities of both Democrats, 79%, and independents, 58%, say they believe Mueller's probe is fair. The new numbers come about two weeks after investigators with the US Attorney's Office for the Southern District of New York, operating on information referred from Mueller's investigation, raided the apartment of Trump's personal attorney, Michael Cohen, to seize documents related to alleged payments to silence women accusing the President of sexual affairs. In the past, Trump has lumped the special counsel investigation and the Cohen investigation together and repeatedly complained of a "witch hunt" out to get him.Still, a similar majority of Republican voters, 59%, believe the President should not fire Mueller. Only a quarter of them believe he should."If you take a look, they're so conflicted," President Trump said of Mueller's team in an interview on Fox and Friends on Thursday morning. "The people that are doing the investigation, you have 13 people that are Democrats. You have Hillary Clinton people."Trump refused to rule out firing Mueller, a registered Republican, when asked at a press conference last week, instead calling the probe a "very, very bad thing for our country" and saying "we want to get the investigation over with.""I've taken the position, and I don't have to take this position and maybe I'll change, that I will not be involved with the Justice Department. I will wait until this is over," Trump said on Fox and Friends, lamenting the alleged bias in "our Justice Department, which I try and stay away from, but at some point, I won't."The Senate Judiciary Committee voted 14-7 on Thursday to approve legislation to protect Mueller from a potential ouster, though Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell has said he will not bring the plan to a vote. Three in four Republicans, 74%, say they oppose such a bill.Sen. Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, said in early April that "it would be suicide" for Trump to fire Mueller. Sens. Jeff Flake, R-Arizona, and Lindsey Graham, R-South Carolina, have raised the specter of impeachment if the President were to oust the special counsel. This poll from Quinnipiac University was conducted from April 20-24 among 1,193 registered voters nationwide. The margin of error is ±6.6 percentage points among Republican voters. 3066

Special counsel Robert Mueller's office dropped more potentially damning details -- from an allegation of "additional criminal conduct" to personal financial troubles -- in a response to Paul Manafort's request to change his bail proposal on Friday. The newly discovered alleged criminal conduct "includes a series of bank frauds and bank fraud conspiracies," a filing from the special counsel's office said on Friday night.Read the entire court filing in the window below. No new charges have been filed in open court against Manafort since he pleaded not guilty to nine counts of money laundering and making false statements about his business on October 30. But CNN has reported that additional indictments against the former Trump campaign chairman are being prepared. In their filing Friday, prosecutors allege Manafort received a million mortgage on a house of his in Fairfax, Virginia, by giving the Federal Savings Bank doctored business statements that overstated his wealth. The special counsel's office said it could show the court evidence of this bank fraud "and other bank frauds and conspiracies" at its next hearing, which has not yet been set.Manafort proposed the house in Fairfax as one of four properties that could secure his bail. Another is an apartment he owns in Trump Tower in New York, which is at risk of foreclosure, the prosecutors said. The prosecutors also noted that Manafort has "questioned his ability to maintain the payments on all his mortgages" and that members of his family aren't "willing to assume the risk" of helping him.Manafort earned a judge's approval to be released from house arrest two months ago, if he showed proper documentation and could secure a million bail with assets and properties. He has not been able to clear the judge's hurdles, and proposed a different approach to securing his bail Friday afternoon.The-CNN-Wire? & ? 2018 Cable News Network, Inc., a Time Warner Company. Something you can't see with the naked eye could be the keeping an eye on you in your most private moments.Illegally hidden cameras are getting harder to detect each day.At her request, we have concealed the identity of a Central Florida woman who found a hidden camera installed in a fan sitting on a table in her home."Well right now it's making me very paranoid because I feel like there could be more devices," said the woman.  She is sharing her story to warn others. There are already plenty of other warnings out there in our state as well.In October 2017, a couple found a hidden camera in a smoke detector in their Airbnb room in Longboat Key.In March 2016, a mother said she found a hidden camera in a West Kendall restaurant bathroom. The demand for hidden cameras, and help finding them, keep private investigator Jody Stacy busy at his Delray Beach store."You got to think if they're finding one device, how many did they miss? Again, it's getting cheaper, smaller and more effective," said Stacy.Stacy went on to say, "Pretty much anything can hold a hidden camera. A stuffed animal, a clock, something as small as a phone charger. Finding the camera can be a challenge."The woman in Central Florida felt like someone she knew, knew too much about her private life."I feel like he can hear everything I'm talking about and everything I say," said the woman. She hired a private investigator, who found the camera in a fan.For about one hundred bucks, you can use a handheld device to spot hidden camera lenses and radio frequencies.  Stacy said, "Everything has to have a crystal or a lens in it like the smoke detectors or stuff like that so if you went through it... it would reflect and you'd see like a little red light and it would tell you there's a camera in it." 1814

SOMERS, WI — You've heard of a master bathroom before, but have you ever heard of a Masters bathroom? A Masters super fan has decorated his bathroom into a golfer's dream.Gregg Thompson of Somers, Wisconsin has transformed his bathroom into an homage to all things golf and especially the Masters. After his kids moved out he and his wife decided to remodel the bathroom. Gregg suggested the idea and his wife was all for it."Convinced my wife that that was a good idea and fortunately she agreed with me," Thompson said.Inside he has two Masters flags. One was signed by Bubba Watson, the 2012 winner, and the other was signed by Ben Crenshaw who won the 1984 and 1995 Masters tournament. He has old school clubs, a Masters hat, a Masters shower curtain, multiple Masters books, a Masters 'Quiet Please' sign, and of course he has a mini putting green inside there. He uses his dad's old putter and said that if he can sink it in the bathroom with that ancient club, he will have a good day on the course."I feel like I'm almost there. Not there but, you know, it gives me that feeling of what it's like at the Masters," Thompson said. James Groh Masters super fan, Gregg Thompson, has transformed his bathroom into a golfer's dream. It only took a few months to put together. The walls are even the exact shade of Masters green and gold.Outside of his bathroom, you wouldn't be able to tell that Gregg is a super fan. It's put together just like any other house. However, go outside to his backyard and you will see a mini Augusta National, if you will.He can set up a few holes with Masters flags at the top of the pin for a small par-3-esque golf course. He's been known to have friends over for a friendly wager. James Groh Masters super fan, Gregg Thompson, has transformed his bathroom into a golfer's dream. As to why he chose the Masters and not the U.S. or British Open? For starters, he said it's special that it's the only major that is played at the same course every year. Plus in 2020, it offers a short respite from all the chaos."It's four days out of the year and especially this year 2020 where you can just kind of escape all the chaos and noise going on out there and just maybe forget about all that for a little bit and enjoy something that is beautiful to watch."It's why this weekend you will find him sitting on his couch watching the game he loves. This story originally reported by James Groh on TMJ4.com. 2523
