SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- County health officials have identified the woman who may have come into contact with a bat that tested positive for rabies at the San Diego Zoo Safari Park.According to the County of San Diego Health and Human Services Agency, one person, and possible others, were exposed to rabies on September 6.The county says a bat was seen flying around a previously unidentified woman around 11:30 a.m. at the Mombasa Cooker at Nairobi Village.The bat was later collected and submitted to health officials for testing. It was later determined that the bat was infected with rabies.The agency says the bat wasn’t part of the park’s collection of animals."Any other visitors who may have come in direct contact with a bat at the location and time described below should contact County Health and Human Services," the agency said. 847

The park's attractions will be limited to outdoor animal exhibits and shows. A ticket will include food, drink, and merchandise. Passholders like Becker get a complimentary ticket but must pay for the lanyard for the food and beverages. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — Border officials seized more than 10 tons of marijuana hidden behind a cargo shipment at the Otay Mesa Port of Entry this week.At about 9 a.m. Monday, an agent with U.S. Customs and Border Protection was inspecting a truck with a manifested shipment of "plastic garment hangers." The vehicle was referred to a secondary inspection where an x-ray machines would continue the inspection.During the secondary inspection, officers detected an anomaly which prompted another examination this time with a canine. Proper operation and maintenance (including disinfection with chlorine and bromine) of these facilities should inactivate the virus in the water."But for San Diego County, health officials are leaning on the state for the go ahead on pools.
