RAMONA, Calif. (KGTV) -- Authorities are searching for a person suspected in a deadly shooting in Ramona Thursday morning.The shooting was reported just before 6 a.m. in the 600 block of Pine Street, San Diego County sheriff's officials said. The reporting party told deputies they found a man on the ground in front of a neighboring home.The man was taken to a nearby hospital but did not survive. The man was not identified.Details on what led to the shooting remain unclear, but a sheriff’s official told ABC 10News the incident is being investigated as a homicide.With deputies searching on the ground, a law enforcement helicopter hovered over the area and announced a search for a male wearing a black hoodie. President Donald Trump was removed from his evening coronavirus news conference on Monday after a shooting took place outside of the White House complex, Trump confirmed to reporters. Minutes into his briefing, Trump was told to leave his briefing by a Secret Service agent. Trump said he was not taken to the bunker, and just stepped outside of the briefing room.Trump said that a suspect was shot by law enforcement outside of the White House. Trump complimented authorities for handling the incident. The Secret Service confirmed an officer-involved shooting at 17th Street and Pennsylvania Ave. in Washington. The intersection is roughly one block from the White House, and not far from the West Wing section of the White House, where the White House briefing room is located.The Secret Service said that a male subject and a Secret Service officer were both transported to a local hospital. Miguel recently graduated from high school. “I feel like our new generation is going to change something in the future,” he said.During the protest on June 5 in Ramona, he and his mother said men attacked him and his friend. She said the attack was unprovoked. Miguel said he moved his friend out of the way and that’s when the same man attacked him.“He hits me, I try to grab him so he won’t go away,” Miguel said. “Next thing… I get hit in the back. I was unconscious after that.”Heidi said the second hit came from a different man. She was at home when the Sheriff’s Department called her. “As a mother, it was very heartbreaking,” Heidi said.This is the second attack on protesters caught on camera that ABC 10News has covered recently.
