Coli were reported among Marine recruits, according to the Marine Corps Recruit Depot.Although 19 new cases were reported, the number of recruits still recovering from the illness fell to 86 Thursday. Tuesday, 302 recruits were reportedly undergoing treatment for E. Coli. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- The Star of India has returned to its home along San Diego’s Embarcadero after undergoing a days-long restoration. The ship made the journey Friday after being dry docked at BAE Systems for 10 days. Work on the vessel included hydro-blasting, anti-fouling and top side paint as well as an inspection of the ship’s hull integrity. The restoration was made possible due to a 0,000 grant from the National Park Service’s Museum Heritage Program. The district says the letter “significantly diminishes the scientifically-backed importance of wearing a mask to protect against the transmission of COVID-19.”According to the district, the letter was placed into boxes of free groceries set to be distributed to 50 million families across the country.The district says President Trump’s letter recommends that Americans practice social distancing and “consider wearing a face covering in public.”“Science is clear: wearing a mask works to prevent the spread of the coronavirus,” Superintendent Cindy Marten said. “Masks are required in California and on every San Diego Unified school campus.
