SAN YSIDRO, Calif. (KGTV) -- The Department of Justice has filed complaints against 11 people believed to be in the caravan currently at the U.S.-Mexico border, accusing them of illegally entering the United States.Two Salvadorans, six Hondurans and three Guatemalans face the charges, CNN reports.10 of those charged face a misdemeanor chare for allegedly entering the U.S. illegally while another individual allegedly entered the country after being deported.A probable cause statement alleges many of those charged were seen in an area known as Goat Canyon on the U.S. side of the border. John McCain, who was diagnosed with brain cancer last year, has made the decision to discontinue medical treatment, his family said in a statement on Friday."Last summer, Senator John McCain shared with Americans the news our family already knew: he had been diagnosed with an aggressive glioblastoma, and the prognosis was serious. (KGTV) - A Paradise family is thanking the San Diego community, after donations began pouring in for them following the deadly Camp Fire.The Harrisons are currently staying with family in Santee after the fire destroyed their homes. With nothing to return to, the family said they may make San Diego their permanent home and have already started looking at schools for their teenage son."I don't think Thanksgiving could have come at a better time," said Emily Keith, who evaded flames while carrying the family's three pets and caring for her brother."I had to go up on sidewalks and into front yards and in between trees, and try to maneuver my way out of town," Keith said.RELATED: Light rain falling on Camp Fire zone could hurt search effortDuring the evacuation, the children were separated from their parents. At one point, their car caught fire and they were forced to run from the flames."It was a life or death situation, honestly," Haley Harrison said. "I was running down the road hoping that someone would stop."The family made it safely to Chico nearly seven hours later. While they haven't been able to go back to Paradise, they've seen photos of their homes burned to the ground."My kids are safe. 18 years of stuff and memories we had in the house are gone but I don't care about that," Haley and Emily's dad Tyler said. "You hit the reset button. (KGTV) - Over 70 migrants from the central American caravan are now in CPB custody, making their cases for asylum, according to attorneys working with them in Tijuana. The attorneys say 49 people were taken into custody on Wednesday, starting the process that could last months. Ultimately, it will be up to an immigration judge to decide if their claims are legitimate.  There are three different groups seeking asylum. SAN YSIDRO, Calif. (KGTV) - The library at Willow Elementary School is officially be renamed the "Ramon Parra Library" on Friday, in honor a man who dedicated his life to the children of San Ysidro."Anything that needed to be done, he did it," remembers Emilio Noriega, Jr., who played baseball with Parra's son. "He didn't look for any help, he did it himself."Parra is credited with founding the San Ysidro Little League. He also served on the local school board for 18 years. Friends say he served on countless other committees and community boards, all working to make San Ysidro a better place."He was the kind of person that did everything for everybody and didn't ask for nothing," says Jaime Mercado. "He was one of the most honest people you ever ran across."Parra passed 30 years ago. The effort to honor him began in 2017. Mercado and a few other people from the Friends of San Ysidro group started a petition to rename the whole school after Parra. When that failed, they set their sights on the library.A GoFundMe campaign raised ,100 to pay for new lettering. The San Ysidro School Board chipped in another ,000. In addition to the name on the outside of the library, a picture of Parra and an explanation of what he meant to the community will be on display inside."There are so many people in town who never heard of him," says Noriega.
