SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - A woman leaving a Rancho Pe?asquitos car wash pressed the gas pedal instead of the brake, sending her car into a restaurant Friday, a photographer at the scene told 10News. The crash happened at Genie Car Wash at 9821 Carmel Mountain Road just after 1 p.m. The woman drove her Ford SUV out of the car wash and hit five vehicles being dried by their owners. Eventually, the woman crashed into a support beam of the Sushi Hana Restaurant, coming to a stop. Everyone inside the restaurant was evacuated, the OnScene photographer reported. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — A stylist in Bankers Hill says a "style-and-dash" customer stiffed him on a hefty bill for hair extensions.Stylist Wesley Horn says the young woman, a repeat customer, came into Plush Salon on Friday to match her hair for extensions. The next day, for several hours, he applied and blended the hair."They looked great. She loved it. She was raving about it," said Horn.Horn says when it came time to pay the cost of more than ,000, she offered to pay through the Venmo app."She said the app wasn't working, and then she offered to pay cash," said Horn.She told Horn she had to go to the car to get the cash."Fifteen minutes go by. I text her and ask, 'Are you close?' She says, 'Yes.' Forty minutes go by, and nothing. I call her, and I'm blocked from her cellphone," said Horn.Horn filed a police report, but because she hasn't been named a suspect in a crime, 10News is not identifying the woman. Horn posted details of the incident on the Nextdoor app. The replies included several more accusations of fraud against her, ranging from dine-and-dash incidents to credit card fraud and identity theft."It's insane. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — An autopsy report released on Trevor Heitmann, the teenager known as "McSkillet" on YouTube, is revealing details about what happened before he crashed his vehicle on Interstate 805.The report says Heitmann’s parents called the police to request a psychiatric evaluation stating, “On August 23, the decedent's parents contacted the local police department to request a psychiatric evaluation but were informed that the evaluation could not be performed as the decedent had not broken any laws."The statement means hours before Trevor Heitmann drove his car down the freeway killing two people, police were at his house.RELATED: Autopsy details mental state of McSkillet before deadly I-805 crash"Even though police are trained to identify mental health issues and mental illness issues they just can't take someone off the streets unless there is such conduct to warrant it,” said attorney Kenneth Rosenfeld.Rosenfeld, who has no connection to this case, explained law enforcement does have the ability to detain someone using the 51-50 law. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — A surfer was found unconscious, face down in the water near Pacific Beach early Wednesday.San Diego lifeguards were notified of the woman in her 30's just after 8 a.m. inside the surf zone at Tourmaline Surf Park.10News spoke to Jason Glover, a paddleboard surfer who set up a robot-camera on the beach to capture surf videos. One of the clips captured the audio of the exact moment bystanders found the woman unconscious.“Hey! Hey! Call 9-1-1,” they said. Fellow surfers immediately pulled her out of the water and started CPR. Lifeguards continued life-saving efforts once they arrived, according to San Diego Fire-Rescue spokeswoman Mónica Mu?oz.The woman began breathing again and was transported to Scripps Memorial Hospital, but her condition was not immediately known.“They immediately brought her in. But that’s what surfers do. Whenever there’s a crew out here, you know you’re going to be fine because everyone looks after each other,” Glover said.It's unclear what caused the woman to become unconscious. 1042

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - A YouTube video of a community college police officer who drew his gun on a San Diego man carrying a camera Wednesday is going viral.The video shows the Mesa College police officer getting out of his car and asking Chris, the man with two cameras, what he was filming.Chris, who did not want to provide his last name, refused to put down the GoPro camera. Within seconds, the officer took his weapon out of the holster. The officer did not put his gun back in the holster until a second officer arrived.Chris is the founder of California Citizens Watch, a group that audits government entities. He told 10News reporter Allison Ash he was not trying to provoke the officer into pulling his gun.Watch the confrontation: 10News spoke with former El Cajon police officer Kevin LaChapelle who said he believes Chris was definitely out for a confrontation.
