Service to accommodate riders to the Holiday Bowl Parade and game are also being offered.With the additional services, some modified schedules will be in place:New Year's Eve (Dec. 31): All trolley lines and most MTS bus routes will operate on normal weekday schedule.Holiday Bowl Parade: Extra Green Line Trolley service between Mission Valley and downtown will begin at 9 a.m. and will continue after the parade. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — With San Diego Comic-Con fans missing the convention in-person this year, some have instead left a tribute across the street from the convention center.Fans of the pop culture event recently began leaving flowers, t-shirts, and notes of their memories from past Comic-Cons outside TinFish — a popular site for people watching and off-site SDCC experiences every year.Chris Morrow, one of the organizers of the shrine, says the tribute was organized as a way for fans to continue connecting over their shared love of the convention.RELATED: San Diego Comic-Con 2020: What to know about SDCC@Home"Residents from San Diego County got together to show love and respect to Comic-Con. Now the beloved North Park newsstand is closing down after 70 years."For a lot of people, they're here every day. It's their mainstay," said Ken Gabbara, owner of Paras News for the last 11 years. Health concerns are just one of the reasons he's letting the iconic shop go. You can't compete with something they give away for free for the most part," said Gabbara.At one time, they sold over 4,000 types of magazines, but with less published nowadays, that number dropped to 2,500.Longtime customers are sad to see the neighborhood establishment go. "It's going to be missed, it's really going to be missed," said Sharon Maynard, a customer of 35 years.Maynard fell in love with the literary and poetry magazines. "Now they just go online, but for me, there's nothing better than having it in your hand in print," said Maynard.Also sad to see the newsstand go is manager Kent Snyder, who's worked at Paras for 33 years. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - Traumatic brain injury (TBI) survivors live with an invisible injury, and its effects can be debilitating."I was not happy with myself, I was unhealthy, I was seeking all sorts of excitement and danger, I was drinking a whole heck of a lot, very angered, always in pain, migraines, physically and emotionally drained, unhealthy in so many ways," said Jimmy Works, a retired Marine Corps veteran.While his last deployment was in 2010, Works was only diagnosed with TBI this year despite suffering multiple head injuries in combat."It's part of life, it's a new reality," said Works. Works and other TBI survivors are now finding healing through LoveYourBrain Yoga, an evidence-based program now in dozens of states. "What's unique about the LoveYourBrain series is it's specifically for survivors of traumatic brain injuries and their caregivers," said Nancine Decherd, a facilitator for the program.
