(KGTV) - Viral cellphone video shows how things turned ugly when a Starbucks customer was asked to put on her mask in Santee.On Sunday afternoon, at a Starbucks on North Magnolia, 19-year-old barista Alex Beckom says a female customer in a blue top pulled down her 'Trump 2020' mask to ask a question. Beckom says she asked the customer to put on the mask, which she did, before becoming agitated and took it off again. That's when another customer told ABC 10News he started recording."I'm not gonna listen to anything you say to me, when you talk to me like that," the customer is heard saying."Okay, that's fine, but next time when you come in I'm going to need you to keep your mask on," responds Beckom in the video."I told her that, so if she ever came back, the customer and staff would be protected," says Beckom.Moments later, the customer served up a different motive."And I know it's because you're discriminating against me, because I'm a Trump supporter. SANTEE (CNS) - One person was found dead at the scene of an apparent single-vehicle crash this morning.A car was found off the roadway just before 8 a.m. near the 11400 block of Woodside Avenue, San Diego County Sheriff's Lt. Dave Perkins said.Details were scant, but Perkins said deputies found a woman, later identified as 40-year-old Ashleigh Hanson, inside the car who appeared to have died of injuries sustained in a crash.It's unknown at this time if drugs or alcohol were factors in the crash or if whether played a role. 537

SANTA ANA (CNS) - With coronavirus cases spiking, Orange County officials Wednesday ordered the closure of all bars effective at midnight and continuing until further notice, while Newport Beach officials voted to close their beaches for the Fourth of July weekend.The county order affects all bars, pubs, breweries, and brew pubs that do not offer dine-in meals. Establishments that do serve dine-in food can only sell alcohol in the same transaction as a meal.The closure order was expected ahead of the holiday weekend, given similar action already taken in surrounding counties of Los Angeles, San Diego and Riverside. Orange County officials expressed concern that if they did not act, the county would become a magnet for holiday revelers from across Southern California."While we would prefer not to close bars at this time, many of our neighboring counties have closed their bars, and it's important to take precautions to ensure the safety of the general public," County Supervisor Michelle Steel said in a statement.In an emergency meeting, Newport Beach City Council members voted 6-1 to close the city's beaches from 10 p.m. Friday through 6 a.m. Sunday. SAN YSIDRO, Calif. (KGTV) -- San Diego Police are investigating Monday night's shoot out at the border at the San Ysidro Port of Entry. Christopher Barajas said he was pulling up to the line to head into the U.S, but turned back. "Everyone started screaming before I even get to the line," said Barajas. It happened around 7:30 p.m. when police and Customs and Border Protection officers say the driver of a white pick up truck refused to stop at a secondary inspection area. Instead, the twenty-three-year-old allegedly accelerated and tried to drive straight through the port into the United States before being blocked by a vehicle. Police say the driver started firing shots from inside his truck and then got out and continued shooting at officers. Seven C-B-P officers returned fire, hitting the man at least once. Officers and San Diego Fire Rescue crews performed life saving measures, but the suspect died at the scene."If they didn't find any individuals in there, smuggling, he was probably hiding something in there," said Barajas.White plastic garbage bags could be seen sitting on the truck's tailgate, but police haven't released any information about what, if anything, was found. Tuesday, only the Sentri and Ready lanes remained open on the northbound side. Traffic heading into Mexico was not affected.
