A Fort Myers, Florida woman was maced in her face while working at the McDonald's on Cleveland Avenue.This happened Saturday evening. Alisha Irons, 24, was arrested and charged with battery."My eyes were swollen, and I couldn't even open them for two days," Tatiana Green, 24, said.The the victim said Irons, the girl who maced her, used to be her best friend. "She sprayed it in my eyes. It burnt so bad, I couldn't see," Green said.Green told Scripps station WFTX in Fort Myers it started Thursday when Iron's cousin took her bank card. Green said she reported it to Fort Myers Police. On Saturday, she said Irons showed up during her shift at McDonald's and used bear mace."Anything could have happened to me. I could have went blind. And it was so humiliating because I had to come out of my clothes, and I'm in my bra and panties, and I'm running around on fire," Green said."To be helpless, I started pouring water and soap on her to cool off and that's something no mother should have to go through," Green's mom, Crystal Hayes, said.When initially asked for a comment, Irons referred WFTX to a rap video of herself she posted on Facebook.She also posted a message saying "I don't regret anything ... The only thing I'll do different is mace the (expletive) when she clocked out, simple."Irons has since bonded out of jail and lives next door to Green."I could hear her door shutting and it's terrifying, because I don't know what else she's going to do to me," Green said.Fort Myers Police said a girl claiming to be related to Green was arrested after showing up to Irons' apartment and firing a gunshot in the air. A Brownsville, Texas man has been sentenced to 50 years in prison after stealing and reselling .2 million in fajitas from a juvenile detention center over the span of nine years.Gilberto Escamilla had previously pleaded guilty to felony theft charges.Escamilla was caught last summer after he took a day off work from the Darrel B. Hester Juvenile Detention Center for a doctor's appointment. A driver called the kitchen at the juvenile center saying they had 800 pounds of fajitas to drop off.The center did not serve fajitas, but the driver said he had been delivering the meat to the center for nine years.After the driver spilled the beans, investigators found packages of fajitas in Escamilla's fridge where he reportedly sold the meat to separate buyers.Escamilla was fired from his job in August.The-CNN-Wire 865

A church choir in Madison, Tennessee is singing hymns to parishioners who are unable to safely leave the house during the pandemic.The choir at City Road Chapel United Methodist Church is visiting homes on Wednesday nights."Whether there are three of us or five or 10 of us, it is just a wonderful thing to be able to do," said Mary Lou Markham, a member of the choir.Markham said the group began singing together in the church parking lot a few weeks before this started."I said 'can't we at least meet in the parking lot and sing to the Lord?' So for two weeks, we sang in the church parking lot, a long way away..." she said.When a member of the choir broke his arms, the group visited and preformed for him outside his rehab facility. From there, they began visiting other parishioners who were cooped up inside."It has been unbelievable," said Brian Hanson. "The response has been tremendous and we have got as much of the blessing out of it as the people we've sung for."Brian Hanson is the director of music at City Road Chapel."I think music connects with the soul, mind, and spirit it's just something that's in people," Hanson said.On a recent Wednesday, the group sang for Evelyn McDowell at her home. The 92-year-old has been a member of the church since 1950."I've missed church and this was just a wonderful blessing," said McDowell."I couldn't go out much. A man released on parole from prison two weeks ago stole a police SUV near Dayton, Ohio, and crashed into a minivan filled with children, killing two 6-year-old girls, police said Tuesday.Ten others were injured, including five children and the suspect. One child remained in critical condition, police said.Dayton's police chief said that 32-year-old Raymond Walters was driving at nearly 100 mph (161 kph) in the stolen police cruiser through the city's downtown Monday night when he ran a red light and hit two vehicles.The family in the minivan had just stopped at a library and was leaving when Walters slammed into them, police said. Six of those inside the minivan were from the same family and the other child was a relative, police said.A coroner identified the two who died as Eleanor McBride, of Huber Heights, and Penelope Jasko, of Dayton. They were cousins, the family's priest told the Dayton Daily News.It all started when Walters stabbed his father and then took off in his father's pickup truck, said Police Chief Richard Biehl.Walters' father was driving him to a hospital to undergo a mental health evaluation and when he found out he attacked his father, Biehl said.Soon after driving off, Walters crashed in the neighboring suburb of Riverside and then he jumped into a Riverside police SUV that had responded to the crash, police said.The officer had not known about the stabbing and had no reason to suspect that Walters might try to flee, said Riverside Police Chief Frank Robinson. The officer had used a stun gun while trying to get Walters out of the cruiser, Robinson said.Dashcam video showed Walters driving backwards in the stolen cruiser and ramming into another Riverside cruiser before driving away.Police in Dayton were looking for Walters, but they were not chasing him when he crashed downtown, Biehl said.The impact split the stolen cruiser into several large pieces.Police will pursue murder charges against Walters, who was hospitalized in stable condition Tuesday, Beihl said.
