Iranian investigators have located the site of Sunday's plane crash that killed all 65 people on board, state TV reported Monday.Bad weather had thwarted a recovery mission on Sunday, when a rescue helicopter was forced to turn back.It was not immediately clear if search and rescue teams were able to reach the crash site on Monday.  347

INDIANAPOLIS, Indiana — More than 150 names were read during a vigil Wednesday evening and family and friends gathered at the Indiana event to light a candle for each one. Each name was someone who was the victim of gun violence over the past year. Deandra Yates organized the vigil. She works with Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America and founded Purpose for My Pain, a support group of families of victims of violence. "We need better gun legislation. We need to make sure that families that have at-risk youth are supported and have resources for mentoring and different programming for their kids,"  Yates said. Yates says she's encouraged by the million grant that Indianapolis has received from the Trump Administration to fight gun violence. IMPD will receive 0,000 of that grant to hire three crime analysts for the city to help sniff out leads before crime happens. Those analysts will process shell casings and guns used in crimes to see if they were used in other crimes in the city. The hope is that the police can connect the crimes and get the ones responsible off the street. Another focus for those analysts will be on social media, tracking what criminals are sharing and talking about online.The other 0,000 from the grant will go to the Marion County Prosecutor’s Office to handle all of the gun violence cases. 1399

INDIANAPOLIS -- 14 offenders at the Indiana Women's Prison are now enrolled in a year-long program that will teach them how to create web applications.The non-profit "Last Mile" is offering the software engineering training. Governor Eric Holcomb joined members of the first class on Thursday, along with Last Mile board members, including rapper and entrepreneur MC Hammer, to kick off the program."I've been in and out of DOC a few times in my life in the past, so I know firsthand about some of the stumbling blocks that exist. Therefore, when I heard about this program, it just really inspired me to apply, because I want to be a success," said Stacy Jennings, a Last Mile participant.Fifty women applied for the program but only 14 were selected.The idea is to arm the women with the skills needed to knock down barriers and land a job once their time behind bars is done.Business and community partners will offer internships."What I hope to get is a new beginning. The opportunity to be able to support myself, be financially stable and also help others to know it's never too late to keep moving forward," Jennings said. Introduction on coding in the Indiana Women's Prison starts on Monday. In the last year, the MeToo movement has led the charge in women speaking openly about sexual harassment, which in turn has caused a number of prominent men in powerful positions to lose their positions of power. Now there are questions on whether the Christmas song "Baby, It's Cold Outside," which was first recorded in 1944, should no longer be played due to its lyrics. Since the 40s, the song has been recorded by dozens of popular artists. WDOK Christmas 102.1 in Cleveland, Ohio cited complaints by listeners in pulling the song from its airwaves last week. Denver's KOSI-FM also stopped playing the song but has since recanted, also citing listener feedback. “We value the opinion of all our listeners and appreciate the feedback we received,” said KOSI 101.1 Program Director, Jim Lawson in a media release. “Respondents voted 95 percent in favor of us keeping the song. Infrastructure spending going to be a hot topic in the upcoming midterm elections, with many asking, how are we going to pay to fix America’s aging roads?Correspondent Nicole Vowell traveled to Rhode Island, the smallest state with some of the biggest infrastructure problems.The tiny part of New England spans only about 1,500 square miles and is one of the oldest states. Combined with Rhode Island being nearly 33 percent water, the state is fighting a tough battle to keep roads and bridges intact.Casey Dinges, director of the American Society of Civil Engineers, says one in four of their bridges is structurally deficient. That means, he says, safety standards are ramped up."That bridge will be inspected every year, instead of the standard every two years,” explains Dinges of one of the bridges in the area.The Ocean State may be facing the most worries, but Dinges says, overall, the U.S. just isn't that structurally sound.Last year, Rhode Island earned a dismal D+ infrastructure rating."We've been deferring maintenance and under investing in our infrastructure for decades,” Dinges says of the rating.Of the nearly 800 bridges in the state, approximately 200 of them are considered structurally deficient, which is costing taxpayers millions of dollars to fix.Dinges says for every family in the U.S., it amounts to about per day.The overall goal, Didges says, is for federal and local government to get on board and invest over the next 10 years to upgrade America’s infrastructure."The allocations for what the state needs has not been enough,” Dinges says. 1585
