SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- The family of Kimberly Fattorini is suing former San Diego Chargers linebacker Shawne Merriman in connection with her fatal overdose, according to a TMZ Sports report.Fattorini's parents claim Merriman drugged and assaulted their daughter before she died at a house party in 2017, the report says.In a statement, Merriman's representatives said they are unaware of the lawsuit and that the original police investigation found no wrongdoing by the former NFL star.Her parents say Fattorini and her friends were invited to a club promoter's house party, and that Merriman "was allegedly witnessed carrying a bottle with some sort of liquid inside."At some point during the party, she texted the promoter saying, "you friend just poor'd half G in my drink," the lawsuit says. Her "parents believe G refers to GHB," the TMZ report says.Per the report, Fattorini's parents claim that first responders found her unresponsive and "half naked with jeans unzipped and buttoned" at a party in Los Angeles. Come January 30, the mall will roll out its 'secured parking plan' aimed at keeping non-shoppers from parking on the property.Customers can park free for the first two hours and then pay per additional hour, with a daily maximum of . While the parking stations have been in place for months, some mall employees say they were blindsided to learn they too might have to pay for parking. Mall officials say employers have the option of purchasing parking passes for employees. If not purchased by the employer, individual employees may purchase the passes themselves.“It’s another bill to put on top of the rest," said one employee, who asked to remain anonymous for fear of being fired. His employer will not be purchasing parking passes for employees. The anonymous employee says they were told daily passes will cost and monthly passes will cost .“Personally it’s 0 out of my budget each year to go to work, and that’s on top of car payment and insurance," said the employee.He's concerned for mall employees who only make minimum wage and cannot afford the extra cost. While the mall is offering subsidized public transit passes, the concerned employee says that's not an option for everyone.
