(KGTV) — A double shooting in North County has left one woman dead and a man hospitalized Saturday.A caller reported two people suffering from gunshot wounds, one was not breathing, at a home in the 1800 block of Hartwright Road just before 7 a.m., according to San Diego County Sheriff's Department.Deputies and Vista Fire personnel arrived to find one woman with a traumatic gunshot wound. She was pronounced dead at the scene. A man suffering from a suspected gunshot wound was transported to a nearby hospital with "severe" injuries, deputies say. Deputies said his prognosis is unknown.The San Diego County Medical Examiner has not released the identity of the woman pending family notification. Patrick Valenzuela was charged Wednesday with domestic violence and several other related charges. In October of 2018, Valenzuela pleaded guilty to a separate domestic abuse charge, admitting to hitting his girlfriend at a restaurant in Carlsbad. RELATED: Famous horse jockey pleads guilty to batteryIn that case, prosecutors said he hit his girlfriend in a jealous rage after she hugged a bartender. Prosecutors added that he grabbed his girlfriend’s cellphone and hit her face. They also said he chased her to her car and beat on her window and that she was scared to let him into the vehicle. After pleading guilty, Valenzuela was given three years probation and ordered to a domestic violence recovery program. Valenzuela is scheduled back in court on March 22. 926

(KGTV) -- San Diego County Crime Stoppers along with investigators from the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department’s Homicide Detail are asking for the public’s help searching for a person who went missing in October.Authorities say Maria Elena Guzman-Cordova is missing under suspicious circumstances.Deputies say Guzman-Cordova left her home on the 1600 block of North Santa Fe Avenue around 9 p.m. on October 13.
