During a quarterly call with shareholders Wednesday, Papa John's CEO John Schnatter cited national anthem protests in the NFL as one of the reasons for the company's falling stock price.According to ESPN, Schnatter also took veiled shots at NFL commissioner Roger Goodell for not putting a stop to the anthem protests."Leadership starts at the top and this is an example of poor leadership," Schnatter said. ESPN also reports that Schnatter felt the issue should have been "nipped in the bud" when the protests first began. Papa John's stock price has fallen 5 percent since August. EL CAJON (CNS) - A pedestrian was struck and killed this morning by at least two vehicles on the Kumeyaay (8) Highway in El Cajon.The crash on the westbound freeway, east of Mollison Avenue, occurred at little before 3:30 a.m., the California Highway Patrol reported.One of the vehicles, possibly a four-door sedan, sustained major damage to its left side, the CHP said.A representative from the coroner's office was called to the scene at 4:58 a.m. 457

E-cigarette maker Juul Labs says they are planning to make a significant "reduction in force" as it looks to the future.The company announced the move in a statement as it also looks to pull out of some international markets as they "have not provided the kind of return necessary given the cost to continue investing in the market."According to the Wall Street Journal, the company is reportedly looking to lay off about 1,200 employees, nearly half its workforce. Earlier this year, the company laid off 1,000 employees, Forbes reported.Last year, at least four lawsuits were filed against the company claiming its ads were targeting young people.They also stopped selling several flavored products in the United States last year.The company also replaced its CEO last year.The company said they are looking to rebuild trust with its key stakeholders and the public."To better serve our mission, we must prioritize how we use our resources to execute on our long-term, focused approach," the company said in a statement. "This will allow Juul Labs to continue to invest in science and evidence capabilities, access control technologies, and future products in core markets that make up a vast majority of our business. Drivers in New Orleans are claiming that they have been issued speeding tickets, even though their cars are in park, thanks to a speed camera operating in the city, WWL-TV reported. Donald Schulz told WWL that he has been issued speeding citations 10 or 11 times while his car remained parked. The camera, which is designed to ticket speeders, captured Schulz's license plate, instead of the car passing by Schulz's car. Schulz has had to make frequent stops at New Orleans City Hall to fight citations, causing him a headache and time wasted. "Whoever is responsible for reviewing these violations is not doing their job," Schulz told WWL.According to Fox News, the citations range from to 0.  City officials told WWL that a contractor is to blame, and that the contractor will train its employee how to properly issue citations.  906
