SANTA BARBARA (KGTV) - Mandatory storm evacuation orders were lifted Tuesday morning for areas burned in Santa Barbara County's fires.Residents of some vulnerable communities were ordered to leave Monday night by the Santa Barbara County Sheriff's Office.By Tuesday morning, the National Weather Service determined the critical levels of rain did not arrive, lowering the risk of debris flow.The SBCSO said several weather systems are due in the area this week but none appear to be a mudslide hazard.Evacuation and debris flow maps will be updated as needed, the SBCSO said. 593

SANDY SPRINGS, Ga. – A babysitter in Georgia has been charged with the murder of a 2-year-old girl who was under her care.The Sandy Springs Police Department said in a statement Tuesday that it began investigating on Dec. 9, when it received a report of an unresponsive child inside an apartment.First responders rushed the girl to an Atlanta-area hospital, where police say she was pronounced dead by medical personnel.Detectives say the child had been in the care of her babysitter at the time, 29-year-old Kirstie Flood.Later, police say an autopsy performed on the child revealed she suffered severe injuries that resulted in her death while under the care of Flood.Flood has since been arrested and charged with two counts of felony murder, one count of malice murder, one count of aggravated battery, and one count of cruelty to children.The police department didn’t release the identity of the victim. However, loved ones have told news outlets in the Atlanta area that the girl’s name was Fallon Fridley.Fallon’s parents told WSB-TV that Flood had been their full-time babysitter since August and they never suspected she would be capable of something like this.According to a warrant obtained by WSB-TV, police allegedly discovered Flood had been searching things on her phone, like “what type of people enjoy abusing other people’s children” and “what does it mean to have a sudden urge to beat a child that’s not yours.”Authorities are continuing to investigate. As it celebrates it's birthday as America's anthem, let's revisit a few more notable renditions.Jose Feliciano — 1968 World SeriesFeliciano was among the first artists to deviate from the traditional playing of the anthem — and he did it in front of a nationwide audience. With the country already divided by the Vietnam War, Feliciano's rendition outraged many. Newspaper reports called Feliciano's performance "disgraceful," and some called him a "hippie."Despite the controversy at the time, Feliciano was invited back to Detroit to sing the anthem 44 years later before a Tigers playoff game, where he received unanimous applause.Jimi Hendrix — Woodstock (1969)Prior to Hendrix's performance at Woodstock, it was hard to imagine the national anthem being played on an electric guitar. Even after her death, Houston's performance at the Super Bowl remains one of her most played songs.Jack Black — Los Angeles, 2011Black is most known for his slapstick comedy, so it must have been strange for fans of the WNBA's Los Angeles Sparks step to the mic for the anthem in 2011.However, Black is one half of the musical duo known as Tenacious D, and showed off his pipes in the 2003 comedy "School of Rock." Whether or not the Staples Center crowd was ready for it, Black went out and delivered a stirring rendition of the "Star Spangled Banner."Jesse McGuire — 2013 NFL PlayoffsThough the national anthem is played and sung live dozens of times each day, it's not often that an instrumental version of the anthem is played solo. (AP) — Wells Fargo has agreed to pay at least 5 million to settle a California lawsuit alleging it signed up thousands of auto loan customers for costly car insurance without their consent, resulting in many having their vehicles repossessed.The bank filed the agreement Thursday in a federal court in Santa Ana. It still needs a judge's approval.Another defendant, National General Insurance, agreed to pay .5 million, the New York Post reported.San Francisco-based Wells Fargo confirmed the agreement Friday and called it "an important step in making things right." The bank's statement said that it will be sending checks to affected customers.The 2017 class-action lawsuit alleged that for more than a decade, Wells Fargo tacked on insurance to customers' car loans that they didn't need because they had private insurance.Some 25,000 car owners couldn't meet the additional fees and had their vehicles repossessed, the suit alleged.The bank acknowledged in 2017 that million in unnecessary insurance charges had been added to 800,000 auto loans.It's one in a series of scandals involving the banking giant, starting in 2016 with the uncovering of millions of fake checking accounts its employees opened to meet sales quotas.That led to the resignation of CEO John Stumpf. Last year, the Federal Reserve capped the size of Wells Fargo's assets, and Stumpf's replacement, Tim Sloan stepped down in March. New improprieties had come to light on his watch, including the auto loan issues.Federal regulators who lost patience with Wells Fargo's continued bad behavior inflicted harsh punishments. Wells had to pay a billion fine last year to the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency.
