It's been nearly 20 years since "Home Improvement" went off the air, but a new report indicates the show may be coming back for a reboot.One of the stars of the show, Richard Karn, told Closer Weekly that he spoke with Tim Allen about the show."I just talked to (Tim Allen) about it," Karn told Closer. "And I think (Pat Richardson) and the kids would be on board."The news comes after the successful reboots of shows like "Roseanne" and "Will and Grace."In March, Allen told Entertainment Tonight that the idea for a "Home Improvement" reboot idea has been floated around. In telling the story of a Cincinnati family dealing with the immigration dilemma, an Ohio television station is choosing to do it through comic illustrations.The project by The E.W. Scripps Company's WCPO television station, “Living in the Shadows,” is the story of the family whose daily life is clouded by the complicated laws and opinions around immigration.The story is told through the eyes and voice of a Cincinnati teenager, who is called Adriana. Comics journalist Kevin Necessary and reporter Breanna Molloy conducted several interviews with Adriana, her mother and her brother. Most of the text is taken directly from those interviews. WCPO has chosen not to identify the family members and, as a result, it is not using their real names. The drawings are not their exact likenesses. During the television interview that airs on WCPO in Cincinnati, they will be shown in shadow. The station had this to say:"We don’t want to put the family at risk of being arrested or broken up by identifying them. Arrests of undocumented immigrants like the mother in this story have risen sharply in the last year. INDIANAPOLIS — After battling the potentially deadly coronavirus, some COVID-19 patients have reported lingering health issues. Everything from mental health issues to difficulty sleeping to cognitive problems.Doctors at Indiana University Health say there are several lasting effects from the novel coronavirus. Some of these symptoms have lasted up to six months after recovering from the virus.Dr. Sikandar Khan said 60% of patients have complained of a low quality of life, in his estimation.“Their stamina is not the same,” he said. “They get easily fatigued and they have a lot of pain in their body.”IU Health established their ICU Survivor Center in May in response to COVID-19, noticing there was a wide variety of lingering effects in their patients.“Even months out from surviving and going through rehab, patients are still dealing with a lot of rehabilitating symptoms,” Khan said. “And so for them, recovery is not just discharging from the hospital and feeling great again, but it is months if not years of recovery.”Patients who are older, he said, with more medical problems will often have longer recoveries. But that’s not always the case with every patient.“We were quite taken aback that even our young patients — our youngest being 22-years of age that we have already seen in our ICU Survivor Center — even those patients were having a lot of difficulty adjusting back to life after COVID,” Khan said.As we learn more about this virus every day, he encourages anyone feeling any lasting symptoms to seek help.
